Got to take the BPA that falls to 11, and not reach for a player here! The last time we held 11, Patrick Willis fell to us

Then again, this regime have not taken BPA unless it was the obvious Bosa pick. Still have to lose tomorrow though

Do the Niners get a trophy for having one of the best rosters in football?

They get a purple heart for having so many injuries.

Best player available. Preferred at a position of need. We need a Patrick Willis type. Not necessarily that position. But that much impact on the team. No more reaches or busts. They have to hit on this. #43 also must be a hit. So sick of them missing in the early rounds. Others teams can. If we can't it's time to say bye to Lynch and Shany.

You are right, wish they had a dumpster fire devoid of talent.

So it's not cool to have a good team.. is that what the kids think now?
The GM and scouts do their best to find and chse talented players. They miss at least half the time. That's the nature of the game. It's not like baseball where they draf tplayers and send them to the minors for development.

Once they're on the roster it's up to the coaching staff to prepare them. Kyle has done a pretty good job forthe most part even though he has had to replace several coaches and 2 good DCs.

Eventually it's up to the players. They understand that every week they're playing for their job. They understand that injuries can happen on any play even without contact. They get it.

Unfortunately some fans don't. They want to blame the coaches, the GM or the refs whenever the team doesn't do well. It doesn't have to be someone's fault. Sometime the other team just plays better.

Nope, that's the record of one of the best rosters in football.

$117 million on IR this yr. 2nd most in football. He doesn't want context.

Who said they had the best roster in football this yr? $117 worth of contracts on IR. You know that of course but talking about it hurts the narrative
(Moving this from the Jed York thread as it's more topical here)

My 2025 offseason plan would be:

- Get best free agent C available
- Get affordable free agent SS
- Get a better vet QB backup
- Bring in competition for the K
- Draft BPA with 1st round pick among OL/DL
- Draft OL/DL/LB/DB/TE

I'd hold back from drafting RB/WR/QB this year. You can bring in a few UDFA guys at these positions, but drafting them seems wasteful.
