the OL wasn't great in 2023 all the same. I would say they upgraded at RG and Colton improved. Banks has never been a top tier LG but the league sucks at OL and his pay check reflects that.
SF was 7th overall in yards per carry. That's tied with the lions.
they should always be adding OL, no one is debating that.
Aye NY, I have a couple questions for you.
1. Who do you think we take at 11?
2. Who do you want us to take at 11?
3. I know last year you really liked Puni - so do you have any other mid round oline guys you'd like us to snag?
This draft lacks with blue chip guys imo. If Graham drops that would be ideal, if not I'm doing whatever I can to move down a couple spots. I also like Membou at 11.
I think we take a DL in the first whether it's moving down and getting Harmon or Nolen. Don't be shocked if they love Stewart.
I'm not drafting Walker/Starks/Warren/Barron/ J campbell at 11. Not because they're bad, but because we either have long-term guys there, don't fit the scheme or the position isn't impactful.
Mid to late rd guys I like at OL
Charles Grant rd 3 he's my value pick that fits our scheme at OT.
logan brown-just started checking out, have a lot of the qualities we like at OT. He's a developmental guy on day 3.
Jared Wilson is interesting as a O/C very athletic only one day yr as a starter Rd 3 guy
Jackson Slater-day 3 guy who could become a center at the next level
Luke Kandra- ideal zone blocking IOL day 3 guy
Marcus Wehr-late day 3/UDFA who's got some Richburg to his game.
Overall this is kinda a s**tty OT class. There's some value along the interior.
I keep telling people, this is the draft that they will get the DL right. That's where the strength is. DL/RB and LBer depth.
