Same, if the top guys are gone. I wish we hade 2-3 mini trade downs where we load up on 3rd rounders. Otherwise a drop to from 11-20 is another 2 and 3 easy imo.

FIRST thing's FIRST... trade for Bengal's Hendrickson already !! the guy is between BOSA and COWBOY!!

Send CINCY a 3rd this year and a 4th next year for Trey and Cincy's 5th !!

Lmao. Even in Madden on easy setting this trade wouldn't work.

s**t if he threw in a Giants minor league reliever the Bengals would send us Burrow, Chase and Pratt and cover their contracts for the next 4 years.
Why are so many pundits suddenly suggesting an RB or WR at #11?

Purdy needs help on OLine and D needs help or it doesn't matter what play makers you have - you wont be able to get them the ball or hold a lead.

Yeah RB with our needs and this overall RB class would be absolutely criminal. Jeanty is a stud but we have so many needs that taking him just makes no sense to me.

I think people are more playing the BPA thing but to go into this draft with the needs that we have and outright state we're going to use the draft to infuse young talent…and use the 11th pick on RB2???

WR may honestly be even worse considering unlike Jeanty there is no slam dunk elite prospect who may drop simply cuz of positional value.

I think if we go with any non trenches based position at 11 it would be DB or LB.

agree.

totally understand a WR/RB later or UDFA for sure though.

I'm not saying we should draft Jeanty BUT, how many times have teams drafted a player to fill a need a passed on a 10 year starter and multiple Pro Bowler? Our own regime has done it countless times.

If Jeanty is the best player on our board you take him. No questions asked. People won't be complaining about Jeanty when CMC is out for the year again and Jeanty is carrying this offense.

If NFL.com is right and he compares to Ladanian Tomlinson no-one will complain about the pick.

My theory is, someone in the club is getting concerned at the current predictability of the Niners early picks and is throwing a little smoke. I mean, Jeanty would be hard to resist but he will be long gone. Other than that ….

Yeah. I don't think Jeanty makes it past LV at 6

On RB - CMC is getting up in age. His achilles tendinitis may never heal and is likely going to impact him the rest of his life. He's got knee and calf issues too. He's also expensive. Eli Mitchell is gone. Jordan Mason is gone. The depth is pretty much Guerendo, Taylor, Juice, and Abanikanda. Jeanty is likely high on their board and they like drafting according to their board.

On WR - Aiyuk is the X WR. Is he going to be ready to go at the start of the season? Doubtful. Will he lose a step? Probably. Jennings has been filling in at the X since the injury. They brought in Allen Robinson as depth, but he's likely to be suspended at the start of the season. Then they got Russell Gage (practice squad). Opposite of whoever is playing the X is a rotation of guys playing the Y/Z. Jennings, Pearsall, Cowing, Owens, Taylor, Hodgins. Drafting a WR would either allow them to fill the void from losing Deebo or give them flexibility with how to re-integrate Aiyuk back into the team (pair him up with young X-WR). Jennings is walking into the final year of his two-year extension and should have every opportunity to maximize his value. Do the 49ers extend him?

Looking at the various mock drafts, I haven't really been seeing Jeanty or a WR being mocked to the 49ers at 11. Picks have mainly been CB (Barron/Johnson), DT (Graham/Nolen/Harmon/Grant), Edge (Walker, Stewart), OT (Campbell/Membou/Simmons/Banks), and LB (Campbell). Of the 60 mocks from the last week I've looked at, only 2 had Jeanty (Parkins on Breakfast Ball-FS1, The Ringer) and 1 had Tet McMillan (Kerr on CBSSports.com). A strong preference to trade down into the 20s and draft a DT there (Nolen/Grant/Harmon).

It takes two or three if you're counting the agent.

You come in with a strong offer, and stop low balling people early (both warner & kittle confirmed), then you don't give players a reason to wait and see

If Jeanty & Hunter are both available at #11 and the top OT & DL are gone, should we not consider either?

There is a 0% chance Hunter will be available at 11. If by some insane way he is then he's an easy pick.

WR and CB are much bigger needs for us than RB but once again, Hunter isn't getting out of the top 4.
