Why are you upset?
Literally zero known candidates for the role had ever been a GM. Everybody known to interview has NEVER been a GM.
If they pair Lynch with a former GM -- what's the problem?

Because Dominik has connections to everyone and has quite a bit of NFL front office experience. He was in the Tampa front office while Lynch played there and while Shanahan coached there.

Not as much as it would have if he was the guy running everything. His job(if he is in fact the guy) will be focused pretty much exclusively on personnel and won't entail any of the other responsibilities that a GM typically has.

You can't hire a top GM if you don't give them control. I expect to see Mike Shanahan in the FO next.

I was shocked by the hire but the more I read the better I feel about it. If its Lynch+experienced #2+Kyle that could work.
