Not as much as it would have if he was the guy running everything. His job(if he is in fact the guy) will be focused pretty much exclusively on personnel and won't entail any of the other responsibilities that a GM typically has.

Dominik was considered the third GM candidate, now both Lynch(GM) and Shanahan(HC) have immediate connections to him. It makes sense to me, we'll just have to wait and see.
