So if I'm reading between the lines, it sounds like Lynch was always going to be top dog before the interviews this weekend, and it was the job of main personnel guy for Lynch that Paton/McDonough/Dominik were ultimately interviewing for this weekend.

My point being this hiring insures that. You hired an experienced GM and Paraag doesn't get to f**k with contracts which means he'd have no role.

This would mean one more "football guy" in the front office. That part of it I like a lot. Lynch won a lot in his career and experienced leadership from some of the greatest coaches of the modern era and all-time.

Rather than Baalke's raspy 5-pack a day voice, you'll get a very eloquent, well spoken guy, an NFL HOFer as the spokesman for the franchise.

I highly doubt Paton or McDonough will be hired as a secondary guy. Unless they get paid top dollar.

Because Dominik has connections to everyone and has quite a bit of NFL front office experience. He was in the Tampa front office while Lynch played there and while Shanahan coached there.

Nothing Jed is doing makes sense. Expect the next hire to be something else random.
