The only good thing about all this is that we can be sure now that Shanahan is running the whole show. He's going to be our very own Belichik.

And the guy carried himself on the football field 2nd only (maybe) to Ronnie Lott.Players have to respect him for his accomplishments.

For you doubters, don't be so quick to dismiss John Lynch. He's a real football guy...very smart (Stanford grad) and possesses great communication skills. He has strong ties with Tampa Bay as a Pro Bowl FS...Kyle Shanahan spent 2 years on the Bucs coaching staff early in his NFL career. Lynch also played for Mike Shanahan in Denver. He also has ties with Bill Walsh, when he coached at Stanford. It makes sense when you tie all those things together. Lynch's years as an NFL analyst also gave him the opportunity to study all 32 teams. Give this man a chance before you condemn him. Sometimes I think some Webzoners would complain no matter who Jed hired. This was a shock to many because the meetings between Jed and Lynch were kept secret, at John's request. So what. I'm sure Jed talked to Shanahan about Lynch...in confidence. We're about to see new dynamic leadership...something we've needed for a long time. Give it a chance to succeed.

Pretty sure harbaugh, tomsula and kelly are all getting paid still so while i dont see them leaving any time soon the fact that they have long contracts mean nothing. Especially to jef york who likes wasting money apparently.

Rob Lowder @Rob_Lowder
The John Lynch hire adds credibility to Mark Dominik rumors, who has worked with both Lynch/Shanahan. Would provide a wealth of experience.

The rookies probably won't know who he is.

Yeah, either him or Steve Young. But I'm okay with Lynch.

Nobody is getting fired anytime soon. These guys will be given a minimum of 4 years to put something good together.

Harbaugh isn't being paid. They "mutually parted"

John Lynch might not have any experience...But, we as Niner Fans know it was addition by subtraction...This organization got better the day Baalke and the Niners parted ways...Lynch must be a smooth talker to talk his way into getting this job, maybe he can smooth talk some free agent into coming to play here....we will see...If KS likes him, then so do i....

At this point...could be totally true and we wouldn't even know about it. Potentially hearing a Brad Johnson pairing...LOL
