ThisOriginally posted by vamphunter23:John Lynch might not have any experience...But, we as Niner Fans know it was addition by subtraction...This organization got better the day Baalke and the Niners parted ways...Lynch must be a smooth talker to talk his way into getting this job, maybe he can smooth talk some free agent into coming to play here....we will see...If KS likes him, then so do i....

John Lynch wanted to see if Jed could keep a secret and no leaks and help clean that from the 49ers image
so it's a good double move

And the guy carried himself on the football field 2nd only (maybe) to Ronnie Lott.Players have to respect him for his accomplishments.
The rookies probably won't know who he is.
Exactly! None of those guys give a f**k about what Lynch did 90 f**king years ago on a stacked defense where he didn't cover ANYBODY.

With six year contracts a piece, you don't have to worry about the 49ers having to hire a coach or GM for awhile.
Agreed

The good thing about Dominik is that nobody is hiring him as a GM again.Originally posted by Phoenix49ers:Rob Lowder @Rob_Lowder
The John Lynch hire adds credibility to Mark Dominik rumors, who has worked with both Lynch/Shanahan. Would provide a wealth of experience.

He's been kissing Jed's ass for years to get this job/on board

Well one thing I like with this structure is that it also creates natural circuit breakers if relationships should sour between 2 people.
I hope Gamble is sticking around also. Think he adds knowledge for Lynch and I don't think he is looking to be a GM

Not sure if this was posted already but...
From Jay Glazer
John Lynch is EXACTLY who you'd want turning a place around. Ultimate out-work-the-world type with zero politics to him and has different level of respect from players and coaches.
I like that a lot and if he can get the personnel headed in the right direction we could be sitting pretty

John Lynch as GM to give the team a face of the franchise that's well respected around the NFL. Mark Dominik who knows talent to team up with Tom Gamble to run the pro personnel and draft.Don't think for a minute that Mike Shanahan want also be helping behind the scenes in some capacity. To top it off you get the best offensive coordinator in the game as your head coach. I have to say Jed and Company put a lot of thought into this and must say they thought outside of the box for a change.
Stop posting.
Why should he stop posting? The people saying they are done with the team should stop posting.

Agree!
You guys are both out of your minds. Having bandwagon fans is a GOOD thing.
Unless of course you guys dont enjoy having a top team.
