I was addressing that there's nothing wrong with being bitter about the hire for a little bit. We don't all have to be homers or sheep. If anybody had of suggested Lynch to be our GM before today they wouldn't been laughed at.
You don't have to be a homer to say "hey, I'm willing to give this a chance."
I haven't seen anyone say "OMG, BEST HIRE EVER, AMAZING, 49ers guaranteed to win 5 of the next 8 Superbowls!!!!! AWESOME BALLS!!!"

haha.. That would be awesome and totally possible with a legit QB but I think 3 years is more reasonable
I think its possible with the right QB and a new DC. Lynch really wont have an impact for 2-3 years from now.
This "male bimbo" might pan out. But if he doesn't, I'll be using "male bimbo" for life on here LMAO

Now all we need is to get Shanny signed and we can get this thing rolling. Combine, Free Agency and the Draft. Can't wait.

People bringing up Elway don't make much sense. Elway had experience running businesses and had NFL management experience previously. Lynch has 0.
Elway has experience running businesses. He also worked in the Broncos front office before getting full control as a GM, president. He even says here: ""I'm not interested in being a head coach. I'm not interested in being a general manager. I don't have that kind of experience to be able to pick those players day in and day out and such."
Lets just hope Lynch doesn't become Matt Millen or any of the other "analysts" that flounder as GMs.

Honestly, it will take a miracle.. This roster is s**t but with some "good" coaching maybe there are some diamonds in the s**t ..If Kyle can bring in a good coaching staff and a vet QB (like Cutler) with him and they can add some talent maybe they can pull off 8 wins and make a run in 2018 but thats a stretch
Its easily going to take them 3 years to build this roster to their liking

I know this is earlier today but still, knowing this people shouldn't be as mad. It just means what we all suspected: that lynch is our Elway. This could work...but we gotta wait and see. Every GM hire is a gamble regardless.

I'm assuming it would take at least 3 full years/seasons to turn this dumpster fire team into a bonafide superbowl contender.
Thanks to Marathe, these 6th year contracts for HC and GM, keeps other teams from easily swooping in and stealing our guys after they start seeing the great initial success in their 4th year here and buy Marathe some time (2 more years) to lock them up for good. Giving these guys a typical 4 year contract would mean that, by the time their contract was up, the team would be hot and many other teams could possibly out bid us for their (Shanahan and Lynch) services.
Ok am I crazy or are you rollin with me on this one?
You're crazy. A 6 year contract is almost unheard of!

Well he's certainly an experienced personnel guy. He wouldn't be focusing on full GM responsibilities, just personnel, might even do a good job.
Why not just go all in and hire Matt Millen. He has experience as well.
He has experience and failed miserably so, we know what we got there... we don't know if this guy's gonna fail, not yet
Mark Dominik would actually be great imo. He's smart, inovative and has lost of experience. He could hold Lynch's hand quite well. But he does usevisit Walter Football for his mock drafts though!! fact

You arent even doing that. You are trying to convince everyone its a good hire. When their is no evidence or history to back that up.
