Shannahan just got handcuffed into a GM that requires a learning curve instead of hitting the ground running with one who knows his s**t.

I was addressing that there's nothing wrong with being bitter about the hire for a little bit. We don't all have to be homers or sheep. If anybody had of suggested Lynch to be our GM before today they wouldn't been laughed at.
You don't have to be a homer to say "hey, I'm willing to give this a chance."
I haven't seen anyone say "OMG, BEST HIRE EVER, AMAZING, 49ers guaranteed to win 5 of the next 8 Superbowls!!!!! AWESOME BALLS!!!"
No but it's usually the homers job to tell OTHERS to give him a chance and stop being bitter. Until we know who and the duties of the actual player personnel guy coming, there's no reason to like the hire.

They'll likely introduce them together would be my guess. Next Monday?

Switching gears does anyone else think this may be the end of the 3-4 here? We got Shanny coming in and I think he can go either way but will Lynch want to bring in the Tampa 2.

Different points of view. I don't see the "f**k, everything sucks" position as the rational default.

Honestly, I hope not. Never been a fan of the Tampa 2.

Since when does a GM bring in a scheme and not the coaching staff?

This is a bit outdated but who on this list would you have other than Lynch? I'd say 10 for sure and the rest all have questionable traits or decision making on their record:

Reverse it. Shanny the Younger just got him a wingman that will cover his back for the next six years (if they last that long).
From this moment on, I will refer to them as Maverick and Goose.

Eric Branch @Eric_Branch
It hasn't been determined if John Lynch will have introductory press conference in conjunction with presumptive HC Kyle Shanahan. #49ers

Well then it's his fault if it doesn't work out for him because by all accounts it seems like this was his decision to make

Don't think he knows enough about being a GM so seems we are keeping our scouting staff minus Baalke.
Man, the cons outweigh the pros.
Can't tell if you're being sarcastic
