Whats stupid is a coach going 6-10, 4-12 losing plenty of winnable games along the way and still having a web forum full of apologists. I imagine as the losses continue to add up you guys will dwindle. I guess its just going to take 4 or 5 losing seasons in a row for it to sink in.

I could say him going 6-10 with than '17 team is as or more impressive than Harbaugh going 8-8 with that '14 team

Perhaps but Harbaugh was much more impressive for what he did here.

Of course, but I'm just comparing those two years.

you're one of those posters who doesn't see the difference between Sula, Kelly, and Shanahan. all about W/L with you

to many times., this team was not ready to play the game. that is a legit concern moving forward in my opinion. that stuff can not be blamed on injuries. there is also nothing wrong in measuring a coach by how many games they win. in the last 20 years we have had only a few winning seasons. you should never start to get comfortable with losing and think its ok to keep have four and five win years simply because you like the coach and gm. i understand some think that kyle and lynch should get four or five years. some even think that there is no time line. but for whatever reason. if we are setting here at the same time next year discussing who to pick with the number two pick. well,. that is not good at all

dude you were whining and crying day 1 with shanahan when we started losing in his first year. nonstop. constantly failing to see the bigger picture and unable to see the difference with him compared to our last 3 coaches. this will be our 3rd year. this is the year you should be cognizant of. but instead you wasted all your efforts and time complaining in Shanny's first year. that's your fault and your fault for setting your expectations so stupidly high in year 1.

lol,.. my expectations were 6 wins in the first year.. you go whine to those who predicted 10 or 11 wins.. i saw beyond the wins and losses. the team not ready to play., mistakes,. mental and physical. defensive coaches playing guys out of positions and not be able to tackle. so yes i saw beyond the wins and losses.

you were acting as if it was the end of the world and the sky was falling because we were losing in his 1st year. acting like it was his 3rd or 4th.

it was year 1........... you were overreacting. if it keeps up this season with a full healthy Jimmy G then there will be reason for concern. we absolutely need to see progress this year, IMHO

He had a much better team.

Justin, Aldon, Willis, Navaro, Whitner

Alex was playing better than he had ever, then CK came in and lit it up.

Who did KS/JL inherit that was near as good as those guys and the ones I didn't mention?
This, IMO, is the year we must see results.

KS/JL are joined at the hip in the draft process.

They collaborate on the picks - JL isn't totally alone in credit or blame.

We have to, IMO make a major FA pick-ups.

I don't think we will enter a bidding war for Earl T but still must come up w/plug and play guys who will make a difference.

I agree. no p***y-footing around. spend money. do whatever you have to do. the NFC West isn't getting any worse and we're not getting any better if we're not at least trying

we are all on the same page here.. i do not agree but i do understand how some posters used the injury excuse as the main reason the team underachieved last year. i think the team also rested on its laurels.. lynch... after jimmy did his little win streak and i really believe the powers to be thought we were better than what we really were. of course this third off season is critical. of course we must see results. of course another four win year is not acceptable and of course we have to hit it on the draft and we have to get legit free agents who can step in and be difference makers,.

you can not compare the success of jh to the success of kyle as a head coach. bottom line. jh is a proven winner who does eventually flame out and mostly by his own choice but jed made a poor choice to side with trent.
