If Harbaugh inherited the team Shanny did, the results would have been the same if not worse.

Harbaugh would never have come here. I'm a huge Harbs fan, but I don't get this discussion. Harbs took over a miscoached team missing an ER. Shanny took over a misowned team missing everything.

Whats stupid is a coach going 6-10, 4-12 losing plenty of winnable games along the way and still having a web forum full of apologists. I imagine as the losses continue to add up you guys will dwindle. I guess its just going to take 4 or 5 losing seasons in a row for it to sink in.
I could say him going 6-10 with than '17 team is as or more impressive than Harbaugh going 8-8 with that '14 team
Perhaps but Harbaugh was much more impressive for what he did here.
He had a much better team.
Justin, Aldon, Willis, Navaro, Whitner
Alex was playing better than he had ever, then CK came in and lit it up.
Who did KS/JL inherit that was near as good as those guys and the ones I didn't mention?
Are you disagreeing with what I posted? I think making the playoffs 3 straight years and going to the NFCC two years in a row is more impressive than what Shanahan has done. Seems pretty straightforward.
He did it w/much better players than we have
Do you agree w/that?
Sure but it doesn't change how I feel about 2 NFCC, 1 SB appearance and 3 playoff appearances in four years. If Shanahan accomplishes that, I will think as highly of him as a HC as Harbaugh.

I like Kyle and will be more than happy to give him the same level of credit I give Harbaugh as a great HC as soon as he matches his success.
i will as well. the chances of us doing that with kyle are more than they are with us doing that with lynch. i am hopeful that kyle will find a way to succeed with our team in spite of lynch. 8 wins next year would be wonderful

Chris Simms was saying Kyle was a slot WR himself in college so he'll always have an affinity for the little guy but he told a story of how he'd correct the coaches and knew how to better use that position and how he was way ahead of the curve that way.

Harbaugh / McVay would probably lose 16 straight games (some of them close ones) if they were stuck with the crap Shanny dealt with...both were granted gifted rosters while Shanny turning scrubs into solid players #NuffSaid

I am happy with Shanahan but he is not as accomplished as the other two at this time. I hope he is and starts getting the 49ers to those NFCC and SBs!

Well he better get to (at least) 8-8... I can't be supporting his aging ass all day

And I don't want to hear about injuries anymore...whether it be Mully, JG or CJ, 49ers better start winning. This is pathetic!

Speculation? Dude had a better team in 2014 what did he muster up, 8-8!!! I appreciate what Harbaugh did for the 9ers but he was lucky to have been fired before the team started going downhill.
