Speculation

Speculation? Dude had a better team in 2014 what did he muster up, 8-8!!! I appreciate what Harbaugh did for the 9ers but he was lucky to have been fired before the team started going downhill.

No need to try to minimize Harbaugh to prop up Shanahan. It just makes Shanahan look worse.

We can start putting Shanahan on the Harbaugh tier of head coaches when he matches or surpasses his accomplishments. Maybe Lynch can match Baalke and build a roster to equal the one we had under him and Harbaugh.

You called it speculation yet you disregard or forgot what was in 2014.

We were playoff bound until we lost our C in the beginning of Nov. I believe we soon lost another starter there to injury, the OL collapsed, Kappy started running, we had that tough loss against Seattle around Thanksgiving, and Jed made the most moronic statement ever which sank the leaky ship.

We were good but not great until Nov.
Impossible to say where would be if JH had the team. It all starts with that 1st choice Shanny had, we could have Watson, Mahomes or Trubisky right now. Could of traded for Mack especially if we had a qb on a rookie deal.

Now way to know where we'd be. End of the day Shanny needs to win to avoid being Nolan.

Um, Baalke didn't really construct the core of those Harbaugh teams.

I remember.
Are you trying to disagree with my point? What Harbaugh did as a 49er HC is more impressive than what Kyle jas done. People counter that point with speculation about what might have happened had Jed not canned Harbaugh.

True it was a collaboration of Nolan, McCloughan and Baalke.

Kyle has done an admiral job with all these coaching staff changes these past few months. I think it went much better than most expected.

Yeah, he intimated, and confirmed by the volume hired, he's building up more staff to train to help offset the losses better in the future.

IF our defense doesn't make any strides forward this season and Kyle decides to keep Saleh one more year it's going to cost him his job.

Yeah, Kyle was not happy about it and taken aback himself. He'll be more ready for it now going forward but what a hard lesson to learn about how successful the rest of the league sees you as.

Yup.

Put me in a good mood for this offseason and made me think we were finally going to be aggressive. Then the anti-AB buzz killed it
