Agreed

Yup.

Put me in a good mood for this offseason and made me think we were finally going to be aggressive. Then the anti-AB buzz killed it

I figured AB was a pipe dream. That said I'm more worried about talent on defense and staying relatively healthy. They over there still talking bout Jimny f**king Ward so Im way more worried about getting talent on that side of the ball.

and another team gets a great OC.

Head coach.

He'll be fine. He's brought in coaches that should help the D execute.

Also, with O players returning healthy , this offense should be firing more efficiently. That will help the defense in games, and step up from practice with our O as well.

Shanahan is not gonna be anyone's OC but this team's.

Eh...talking him up and then only offering a one year deal says a lot more than the article itself in my opinion. I think they know what they are getting if they bring him back but they don't want to alienate him if they cant find something better.

No need to try to minimize Harbaugh to prop up Shanahan. It just makes Shanahan look worse.

We can start putting Shanahan on the Harbaugh tier of head coaches when he matches or surpasses his accomplishments. Maybe Lynch can match Baalke and build a roster to equal the one we had under him and Harbaugh.

Um, Baalke didn't really construct the core of those Harbaugh teams.

True it was a collaboration of Nolan, McCloughan and Baalke.

Even though he was a fall down drunk, I really pin a lot of it to McCloughan. The man new how to draft, and it shows that he has gone on to help build good teams elsewhere.

Yeah, he intimated, and confirmed by the volume hired, he's building up more staff to train to help offset the losses better in the future.

Good call man!
While boy wonder may be a football genius, i do question his decisions in the past two years. He keeps losers like Saleh, Garnett, AA and Ward but he trades Brown away and use that draft pick to draft another loser. (i guess drafting of Moore was lynch's fault) I'm losing faith in Shanny, and he was the only person who I had any faith in.

I'm really not sure what you expect in a total rebuild of a roster. Hasn't it been like a 70-80% turnover? It's a simple numbers game imo, you need bodies.

I expect better decisions coming to year 3. The exact same holes that this team had on the roster 2 years ago are the same holes this team still has today.

Yah its not like injuries didn't play a factor, hence the reason for hiring new trainers and medical staff.
Ladies and gentleman, pay extra close attention to this one.
