We need to sit back and look at the positives in terms of the state of the 49ers. Shanahan was the best hire we could have made. I mean look at it. He is the best offensive mind available out there. He doesn't have a one trick pony offense like some others. He has had success in several stops. It is a lasting offensive philosophy.

There are only 10 players 30 or older on the active roster on 49ers.com. We have a lot of young guys (some with legit potential) that just need a stable atmosphere.

One player over 30 in the defensive backfield. Need to sign another vet with some locker room clout.

Defensive line has been heavily invested in with Buckner and Armstead. Both still young with good potential.

Need an athletic MLB and another vet.

Some situational pass rush help via FA.

Just need to really fix the OL as the only pressing issue other than the obvious QB one. I trust Kyle will find the right RB/WR combos as this has always been his strong suit. I think the first two big FA signings will be on the OL. Then draft our Franchise QB and we are in the way. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. I think Shanahan is here to stay for awhile.
