That's freaking amazing though. The Shanahan's are such underrated football minds. These guys call their shots, like BW used to.
They were in Quarters. Kittle was the #2 being watched by the safety. Juice then motions over strongside and becomes the new #2, which drew the attention of the safety (Quarters safety reads #2). That now puts Kittle as the #3, watched by a LB. It was all about that late pre-snap motion.

They showed quarters but post snap the safeties widened, showing cover 2. Shanny must've seen them show this quarters look then go cover 2 on film and saw something to reveal it pre-snap.

Check the depth and watch what the field safety does. They are in Quarters. I'll cut it up. The telecast showed an all22 view.

Looks like we're both right, to me, looks like cover 6

I see that jd. Focusing on the playside where Kittle was able to get a mismatch.
This is how they originally line up. With Dwelly and Juice to one side. On the other side, the blue safety, I believe, is in Quarters. So his read right now is the #2 (Kittle).
Juice motions over. The blue safety sees it.
Juice is now the new #2 so Juice is now the blue safety's assignment (match #2 if vertical). Kittle is now the #3, and is red LB's assignment if #3 goes vertical.
Blue is watching Juice, not paying attention to Kittle because Kittle is #3 and is no longer blue's assignment. Red is too flat footed to defend a vertical from Kittle. Toast.

That is a classic way to attack Quarters, use #2 to get the safety to freeze and then run someone deep behind him (usually a Post by #1 but in this case a seam by #3)... good stuff!

McGlinchy was on a postgame interview and explained how Kyle would breakdown why each presnap motion or shift manipulated the positioning and read by a specific defender. All to exploit a hole in the coverage, or improve an angle on a run block. I'll try to find it but it was on local radio, played as a snippet. Kyle is breaking defenses.
