Hard not to get excited about this guy and what he could mean for this franchise. But it's pretty tough to find a better HC right now if you look outside of New England.

He still was able to put 20 pts on a motivated Rams D without his starting OTs, a FB which killed the running game, receivers still dropping balls, and a QB not quite there yet.

I love the staff he has assembled and that he was willing to dump Zgonina and Hafley when it became clear that they weren't cutting it. He seems to have a good eye for coaching talent.

Arguably my favorite thing about him. He has a great eye for coaching talent and he seems to be great at getting them organized and focused behind the scenes.

This sounds strangely familiar...
I still have faith in McVay, but I can't help but wonder if ego got in the way with that second attempt to score from the 1. Why run it up the middle when the Rams middle is weak? Was he trying to prove something macho? Sadly, it felt like the season ended at that point. Still ten games left, but that's how it felt. Then Henderson's fumble felt like a kick in the nuts.
There were chances to come back, but Goff's throws were awful.
Does McVay need a fulltime OC to help his judgement?

Mcvay only lost 2 games in his coaching career when he had more than 1 week to game plan. Those two games were against Belichick and Shanahan.
