49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan Thread

Kyle is a perfectionist... if he isn't striving towards perfect he isn't happy, it's not about getting to perfect but its all about the pursuit of perfect... me thinks he is MB ISTJ
Just happy for Kyle that he's finally being rewarded with some wins along with all the hard work he has put in. And his players too.

Never doubted that he and the team would get there. They aren't done

When you give Kyle Shanahan, the best offensive caller, a historically good defense, the team is going to be among the favorite to win the Superbowl.

And this offense ain't the 2000 Ravens, 2014 Seahawks, 2016 Broncos (last year of Peyton Manning, which he struggled). This offense can move the football and score points. They don't need to rely on the defense to win. This is scary for the rest of the NFL.

Slight correction.....would be 2001 Ravens if we're going by the year the SB was actually played....
KS is going to make sure that his team is ready for this game. This is the team that not only fired him and his father but they did their best to ruin Kyle's rep on his way out.

Coming out of years of lurkdom to join in: I am having a ball watching KS succeed this season. I grew up in a country where American football is not a thing. I've lived in Cleveland for a couple of decades now, and was so impressed by Kyle (especially when he left, given that insanity here) that I started rooting for him in Atlanta and now in SF. I hope your team absolutely shellacs Washington. It's fun watching KS build his legend in real time.

That whole drama behind the draft of RG3 and then Cousins was crazy.

Welcome to the Zone oh49er. You must be a die hard football fan to follow a coach everywhere he's gone.

You picked a really good coach to decide to be a fan of. I haven't ever really heard of someone coming to be a fan of a team because of the coach, but however yah got here, welcome.
KS is turning me into a football fan (grew up with hockey and voetbal).

I really like his analytical, engineering-like approach to coaching. KS with the 9ers is like watching someone with a Ph.D. in football design a prototype team and then run it through stress tests to refine the design.

You guys should cut up the Rams first drive so we can diagnose the run scheme... looked like counter runs with a gap/trap scheme.

And, we need to learn what Acorn head did to adjust and stop it.

Looks like a team that prepared for 10 days to make sure to score on that first drive.

For sure. Saleh said Kyle calmed everyone down on the headset and basically said "fix this". I'll see if I can spot what was changed schematically.

The team needs to move on from Kyle Shanahan after his first season. --Grant Cohen
