right? end of the day all that really matters in points per game and 29.4 per is 3rd overall in the league.

I also like to use DVOA from football outsiders...SF is currently having one of the best seasons (both offense/defense) in their history of tracking such data.

Because of our defense. Our offensive DVOA is 12th. I don't know how you can complain about what I said and then refer to a statistic that supports what I'm saying.

I think it's more in, can we really complain considering we're missing both of our starting tackles, fullback and been down 2 receivers that were supposed to be large contributors on the field. Also missed Tevin Coleman for some time, which we saw carry the rock a lot last Sunday.

Hold on....If the offense is averaging 29 ppg and 408 ypg, I'd argue that DVOA isnt really capturing what's happening then. Those are strong, strong numbers and really do have room for improvement.

I don't care what DVOA says if an offense scores 470 points (current pace) and gains 6500 yards (current pace) it is much, much better than a middle of the pack offense. Hell these numbers would be knocking on the door of a top 5ish all time niners offensive season.

our offensive DVOA when from 4th to 12th because we ONLY put up 20 in LA, SF had one of best overall DVOA scores they've ever seen and that's because of both sides of the ball.

The San Francisco 49ers move into the No. 1 spot with one of the greatest four-game starts in DVOA history. Meanwhile, the No. 2 Patriots are still having one of the greatest five-game starts in DVOA history. And the rest of the league is far, far, far behind the top two teams.

Again SF is avg 29.4 per game which is 3rd overall in football.

Want to make a bet that their offensive DVOA moves up after this weeks game?? you're (again) complaining about not much.

I mean you watch the film the plays are there to be had...Some things off the top of my head where the players left points on the field (not kyle).

-We got Gould missing FGs
-How many fumbles in the RZ did we have vs Pitt?
-Kittle had two TDs called back on junk calls Week 1
-Pettis drops and easy TD vs the browns
-Coleman drops and easy TD vs LA
-JG's nonsense INT in the end zone etc...

players need to execute better, which is crazy because they're still avg 29.4 pts per game

Until we're actually in the playoffs I hope Kyle preaches that we haven't won crap. Keep the same mind set with the same intensity. We can still be 5-11.

I'm a little disappointed that we haven't been a better, more explosive offense under Shanahan. I expected the offense to carry the team this season and if the defense could be in the top 15, we'd have a good chance to go to the playoffs. Instead, it's the defense carrying the team while the offense is barely clinging to a top 15 ranking.

huh? they're the 3rd overall offense in yards per game (408) and 3rd overall offense in points per game (29.4).

You really need to stop complaining so much

The first 2 games are really preseason games now anyways.

Offense has been fine.

Most top offensive teams with flashy stats have 1-3 losses right now so.....

I have been rewatching JGs INT in end zone.

I am officially going= not his fault. Kittle was absolutely interfered with and would have been there to catch/contest. WR would have cleared peters to the back.

Yeah it was a weird play and without a doubt Kittle was held, I mean it was obvious and when a INT is that easy that's usually the case. I still don't get why kyle didn't challenge that no-call? That's what that s**t is for...Sherm got a no-call PI reversed week 1
Kyle didn't challenge the hold on Kittle because you can't challenge holding. You can only challenge PI.

Word, makes sense but wouldn't you call this PI and not holding? Looking to me like he's all over him after the ball is thrown, no?

I hightl doubt the refs would have overturned it if he did challenge it as PI.

More than likely they don't, I think there's only been one challenge of PI that won this yr and it was week 1 vs Sherm

Honestly imo it's a pretty obvious PI non-call, the ball was intended for Kittle (kyle stated that), usually with a INT that easy there's a PI call to be had.

Oh well live and you learn. kyle was arguing the no-call with the refs right after.

It looked like a fade to Deebo so Kittle being mugged I think would be ignored. The pass could of been intended to Kittle but the refs won't weigh that when there's a closer receiver to the ball.

Good to know that the ball was intended to Kittle though because I was really scratching my head there on why Shanny would think that could work.
