Oh man...the 49ers might hit 60 that game. That Falcons defense makes Carolina look like the 85 Bears.

Matt Ryan and Quinn really didn't do anything to deflect from the scapegoating Kyle got in that SB. I've always argued it was no where near as egregious as some made it out to be. You can dissect the plays and see why he called them. In hindsight I bet he wishes he had this OL and stable of backs and I'm sure that woulda changed he's calls. He does deserve so blame.....but there's no way he deserves the entire collapse but it is what it is.

Today is the most points since 55 put up against Detroit in 1993.....playcaller that day: Mike Shanahan

Not discounting Kyle at all, but I wouldn't be surprised if Mike is reviewing some film himself and giving out some pointers, more than a few in fact.

It's gotta be a great asset to have one of the greatest playcallers in league history as your pop.

Steve Young said Kyle is a Mike Shanahan who knows how to use technology to maximize his effectiveness. He said Mike Shanahan didn't even know how to send a text message.

He'll get his chance on Dec 15th.

Is it too early to say as long as we have Kyle, Jimmy G, Kittle, Bosa and Buckner, we'll continue to be good for awhile?

Or should I stay quiet and knock on the wood?

With the owners we got? I thought we were set with Harbs for years, then it all went to s**t in a flash.

I think Baalke had something to do with that too, he wasn't exactly innocent in all that stuff either.

I really doubt Dan Quinn will be around by then. It wouldn't surprise me to see them make a change tomorrow that way their interim can have the bye week to get the team together.

Fitting that he was criticized in the Superbowl for not running enough, yet, with undrafted RBs and back-up tackles, he's scheming the most dynamic and diverse run game in the NFL. A big middle finger to the league. The man knows what he's doing.

Did Dan Quinn ever apologize for the SB loss? Seems like he kept quiet and let Shanny take all of the blame.
I was one who thought that 8 wins would be a good achievement this year. Shanahan looking like coach of the year now!

Same. I thought this was a 500 team this year at best. While that's not yet a mathematical impossibility at this point it's highly unlikely. This team looks like it's going to be hosting a playoff game and I'm OK with that.
I would sign Kyle to a lifetime contract and give him whatever he wants.
One game at a time. Arizona has won their last 8 games against the 9ers. I'm sure Kyle and the team would like to make another statement on Thursday. In Kyle I trust - he's probably already begun scheming.
