forever grateful to john elway for not choosing kyle.

I remember fearing Kyle would go to Denver and the joy(and confusion) when Vance Joseph got hired, I wanted Shanahan from the start I wasn't feeling McDaniels and Riddick. So grateful Jed wanted Kyle from the start and we got our guy

Denver sports talk radio wishes Shanny was their's too lol

One can't help but wonder what things would have been like for the Broncos had they hired Kyle Shanahan instead of Vance Joseph. While Joseph had a better record than Shanahan over two seasons, Shanahan has now found his groove with the 49ers and his plan is paying off for the undefeated 49ers. Joseph is the defensive coordinator of a bad Arizona Cardinals defense and the Broncos are 2-6 with new head coach Vic Fangio.

Why couldn't they come to an agreement with Shanahan? The rumblings abound that the younger Shanahan was never a serious contender for the job even though he was highly impressive during the interview process. There's also buzz about his last name ultimately preventing him from getting serious consideration for the job. If true, that's just sad.

Mike Shanahan was a legend as the head coach of the Broncos. It would have been fantastic for his son to continue the tradition in the Mile High City. Instead, we're left wondering what might have been while Shanahan's team is on fire this season.

It's easy to project the 49ers being closer to a Super Bowl than the Broncos. In fact, the 49ers have the best record in the NFC right now and are in position to have home-field advantage throughout the playoffs if they continue their winning ways. There's a chance the 49ers make it to the Super Bowl this year, while the Broncos are looking at a top-five pick in the 2020 NFL draft.

Continuity helps too, especially on the offensive line.

Until this last game, I had never even heard of Luke Kuechly ever quitting. Didn't think he had any quit in him. Towards then beginning of the fourth quarter, he quit hustling. That's how good Kyle's gameplans are, they take the heart of of the defense.

All of by running the ball 57.5% of the time...not passing...running. Wow.

Legends are made by having the courage to go right when everyone else goes left. This league has been pushing the passing game for so long, it was ripe for a genius run game play designer to come along and tear at its soft underbelly.

Looks like Shanny is going to have to 'block' all the teams that try to hire Mike McDaniel to run their offense.

You've got that right.

I just think back to this gif and think how far Kyle has come.

Okay, why the f**k did Shanahan call a running play before the end of the 1st half with Breida instead of just kneeling?? and OF COURSE, Breida gets hurt. un-f**king believable man.

Maybe, 70 yards away from the end zone with 0:00 on the clock brieda shouldn't try and gain an extra 2 yards. I think, with running backs, it's those extra yards you fight for that account for many unnecessary injuries.

Shanny probably saw the snap as an extra opportunity to set the defense up for a big play in the second half.

there was like 20 seconds ticking down, and i was just baffled we were running. I was like, "why are we running? why? why risk the injury potential??"

and lo and behold, Breida gets f**king swarmed for a loss and gets up limping. unreal. WHYYYYY

What doesn't any of the reporters ask that question???
