I think most of us were ok with that sequence even though we only burned not even 30 seconds off the clock. It was the sequence that led to the McLaughlin shank we had an issue with, even though the spot screwed us, but I think that was one situation where Shanahan really needed to go for it on 4th down rather than put a mercenary rookie in for the longest try of his day.

I can agree with that.

Well this is a freaking problem.

Based on? Deebo has looked better and better each week. Taylor and Hurd are out. Pettis is a guy who seems to be regressing but I think a considerable amount of that can fall on coaching. Much like how last season you had half this forum ready to dump Witherspoon.

I don't know that Welker right now is particularly ready to get the most out of younger receivers.

Meh not sure I buy this. How many times has Keuchly seen Shanahan's offense and yet he was still completely lost this last time?

The 49ers were missing their top two targets and Seattle focused almost exclusively on crashing down on the run.

I've been saying this all year...just never used Goodwin's speed. Defenders creep. No fear of it...ever.

By the way, that deep pass to Deebo last night. That was the first in like, three games right? They just don't take shots

Jimmy doesn't have the arm strength and deep ball accuracy. That's not his game.

Should have run the clock out when there was 1:40, they had no timeouts left. Horrible game management at that point, we should have either made a FG, as time was running out or missed and left with a tie.

Can't really dial up long developing pass plays when you're playing with two backup tackles. Everything about their gameplans was oriented towards getting the ball out fast.
