Same fanbase, different day.

The problem is I'm not saying it's all on him but think he couldve done things a little differently. and not just hindsight , felt they should have been done live. 4th&2 you went for it and didn't trust your kicker for that 49 yarder. End of regulation you had no choice but to kick that 47 yarder or throw a Hail Mary. 4th and inches for a 47 yarder, I was almost sure we were going to qb sneak(very high success rate) here's where I felt he should have been aggressive, but then he went super aggressive on our final Possession with 1:50 left and took no time, mentality should have been win or at worse tie without giving them a chance.

I know thing would have been different if he made the kick but knowing he didn't he still could have not called 3 passes in a row when we couldn't protect all night or catch.

Not blaming everything on Kyle , cause jimmy OL and wrs all had blame and their defense had their best game of the year and we had lots of injuries but think we could learn from this and move on. I'd rather learn from games now than in the playoffs when it's do or die
Should've went for it on 4th and 1 instead of putting the game on the kicker off the street. tsk tsk tsk

Had Pettis caught that pass on 2nd down, the clock keeps running and it is at worst 3rd and short not 3rd and 10. He flat out dropped a pass he should have caught which in turn has everyone questioning Kyle's play calling at that time and his aggressiveness in the moment.

And if we don't get it on 4th down, everyone is sitting around questioning why he did not kick the FG given the kid made his three other attempts including a previous 47 yarder.
Im lookin forward to Kyle announcing the return of Terrell Owens
Last night was the first time I questioned what our HC was doing.

The way the end of the game played out looked a lot like bad clock management and the kinds of decisions OTHER COACHES make that segue directly into a loss.

Can't wait until we notch another W.

Probably the only thing that'll quiet the storm inside of me.

We don't have that. Deebo has the potential to reach that level and Hurd is an untested guy at this point.

IMO, based on how this season turns out, we'll need to take a serious look at saying good bye to Goodwyn and Bourne.

And either pay a top tier FA and/or draft he best we can.

Pettis is very inexpensive but at best inconsistent. One more year to prove it.

IMHO, Sanders is a stop-gap, over 30 WR with a significant injury history. This team needs a young, proven, durable WR. Since we have trouble drafting those, we're going to have to find one via FA. That means we might need to get creative with cap space.

Shanny needs to accept the fact that Jimmy ain't SPECIAL yet, and it's not going to help if Shanny keeps giving him WRs that aren't legit in this league.

Wilson showed us last night how special he is, and can you imagine how much more damage he can do once Metcalf and Gordon gets comfy w/their offense.

Wilson had a passer rating under 90 last night, he is over 110 for the season. Shanahan and the offense made it so easy for Wilson. No scoring drives of 50 yards or more. They scored a TD on defense, one after getting the ball inside the 49ers 20 and another after getting the ball inside the 25.

Poor Saleh

You guys say all of this stuff as though the way Seattle's defense played had nothing to do with the struggles of the 49ers offense. Regardless of where they may rank statistically, which people were using all week to justify their predictions of a SF blowout, Carroll and Norton had those guys ready to play. They deserve a lot of credit for stuffing the running game and forcing Shanahan to dial up almost 50 passing attempts which really isn't the 49ers' game. Credit where credit is due I say. Yeah, Jimmy struggled and his receivers let him down more than a few times but Seattle had a lot to do with that. Before the game commentators were talking about how this game marked a return of the power struggle for dominance in the NFC West between these two teams. The way I recall it is that Seattle has mostly kicked our ass for the last decade. Not sure why this outcome should be a surprise to anyone.

It is a fair call to say Carroll and Norton out schemed us. Kyle had no answer when Norton stacked the box. Aside from one or two moments our run game was non existent. That is because Carroll and Norton had 8 games of tape on us. That means Kyle was not showing enough innovation in calls. The loss is on Kyle more then anything but for Bourne, Goodwin and Pettis, who all need to find another team. I hope Kyle learns from it. The buck stops with him.

To be fair the Seahawks scheme worked because:
1. No Kittle, and no Sanders for the majority of the game.
2. Staley and McGlinchey came back from injury and both had a terrible game.
3. Jimmy G didn't have a good game either. He got rattled when the PP wasn't good, and the receivers couldn't get open.

We still scored 10 points in I believe our first 2 offensive possessions when Sanders was playing.

Seattle defenders seemed to have a read on Garoppolo all night, sometimes running the route better than the receivers. Wagner said some of that had to do with familiarity and film study.

"They're a team that runs so many different things that it's hard to get a tendency, but I felt like the last couple of times that we played them we were able to figure out what they were doing," he said. "Because they run so many different things, it's a game where you have to be disciplined, and you just have to read your keys. It becomes kind of like simple football: Read your keys, and it will take you to the football. Once we started reading keys, me and K.J. started hearing the calls and picked up on the checks he was making, and it allowed us to break faster."

I'm not too worried about the rest of the season because of this game, Seattle played their ass off (motivated to be the first to beat us)... we didn't have Kittle and Sanders....and we made a gazzilon simple mistakes (like we have at times this season) yet we almost won.

If our receivers make there catches this isnt an issue.

Yeah, there would be no victory for them to take credit for, lmao.

Props to their DC but it didn't take rocket science to figure out (down 10-0 with Sanders and rolling) that when Emmanuel went down, just stack the box and run blitz and play man. Who scared them? Noooooobody!

All true. But our run game was not effective. No opening lanes in the zone. Zip. Seatoots run defense was awesomely effective. They stacked the box and smothered us. But Kyle should have adjusted. He didn't. There was no plan B or C or D. I was very disappointed with this and it only is topped but the butter fingers of guys who should catch 90% of the balls but dropped 100% ie Pettis and Goodwin. Bourne wasn't much better. But the buck stops with Kyle for the loss. I am sure he will learn from it but Pettis and Goodwin are lost causes.

I think Kyle did adjust. We were moving the ball on quick slants when they stacked the box through the first quarter and a half. Then Sanders went out and the offense went to s**t. The only way to stop them from stacking the box is to pass them out of it and it was working. We had a 10-0 lead. But we dont have s**t at WR besides Sanders so we couldn't keep it going.

The only way you adjust to a loaded box is by passing until the defense is forced out if it. If Sanders and Kittle had been out there, they would not have been able to keep doing it. It was less about strategy and more about personnel. When the other team sells out to stop the run and your OL can't pass block and your receivers can't catch, you're screwed.

Deebo had a good game but he couldn't be the only target. No one else stepped up.
