There was a big difference between the SB and MN. One he had a commanding lead, the other the game was tied. He made the calls he thought would win the game and while I think we should of went for it then later mixed in a run or 2 that final drive I don't think he outcoached himself here.
Guys were wide open and dropping passes left and right. Sometimes players just don't do enough to win.

Yep the main reason we lost Monday was because of crucial injuries, WR's that couldn't catch the ball, and an online that couldn't block.

Yep the doom and gloom squad will never be satisfied. Or are trolls.
Most likely both.

And a missed FG. I dont think we should forget that. It's not like Gould has been lighting it up and could/should affect our play calling in tight games.

They must not have seen the saints game Sunday where they got their a$$ kicked by a 1-7 team. I find it funny that many are now back to considering us a step below the saints and packers who both have lost to worse teams than seattle, who beat us with 0 seconds left in OT

That ties back into the Injuries.

No, because he scored enough to win that SB. People forget, their head coach was in charge of that defense that wilted worse than a wet paper bag in that SB. They force one punt in the second half of that game and we wouldn't be having this stupid discussion.

ok. but years with atlanta as a oc . super bowl experience where he was rightfully questioned with his decisions and now three years head coach here,, you would think he would have a better handle on what to do at crunch time. face it, he outcoached himself for whatever reason.. oh i know whats coming... not to compare him with bill walsh but even bill made some boo boos
You're not wrong and I felt he messed up a bit as well. I would have went for it on 4th and 1 instead of the field goal but I get it. The passing 3 in a row was dumb. It's obvious we need to upgrade WR next year. I'm hoping Hurd can play and contribute.
I'm kinda glad this happened. We play some seriously good teams the next few weeks. I see this as a test of our mettle and Kyle is still learning. He admits it and he should grow from this. We should definitely make the playoffs so it's the division and first round bye in question. We will not be an easy win for any team anymore.
kyle will never admit it. but there is a reason he got sanders. then when sanders went out. kyle was like.. holy f**k . now what. we are back to where we were but worse cuz now i do not have kittle or sanders but i got these clowns, deebo not included.. well maybe not word for word. we got by without sanders for a bunch of games but now people are going to stack the house against the run. esp if kittle and sanders are out . you are right.. it gets really tough from here. including sunday in my opinion.. yes..dang. i thought jimmy could have ran that left side for a easy first down on third down. then when it was fourth and short.. come on, kyle take a chance. those two quick passes killed us
Yes, division games are always tough. Cardinals are no push over imo. I called it two weeks ago.
Kyle can't admit a player sucks publicly as he's not a jerk either lol but yeah I do sense that. He's a great schemer overall, but you need talent. Also he is still learning when to push and when to let off the gas a bit as well.
Good observation about JG. Jimmy is a pure pocket guy imo. He avoids running. I guess were not really used to that, but it works for Brady lol tackles were rusty too so Whatever. It's hard to attack JG for the game imo with what, 7 drops? I always felt a ball off the hands or chest of a WR should be his fumble and not a an pick lol
We need to get and stay healthy. If we get Hurd this year And the offense is fully healthy, our running game and red zone offense will be wicked.
Regardless, this offseason is about securing our good players to long term deals, drafting well for depth and growth- Especially WR.
Yes, you are correct, JImmy is primarily a pocket passer. He tore his ACL last yr, game 3, as you recall. If he were anything but a pocket passer that would be foolish and neither he nor kyle are foolish. Doesn't mean he can;t move around in the pocket a bit, but if he runs it is because he had 15-20 yards of only grass in front of him and he is gonna slide.

Kyle had the job before the Super Bowl so he was coming here regardless of if they won or not. I questioned his play calling at the end of the game and then I remembered that the last time I called a football play was in high school in 1987 so I guess I'll defer to him on the game plan. LOL
Worry about kyle's Choking? Seriously? Kyle was in a quandary. Kittle wasn't on the field. Sanders LEFT the field near halftime. Kyle's quandary was how in the heck he was going to get a pass completed when every single WR had the dropsies. Officially they said 6 . Then Lynch said 7 . Announcers said 9 adn that is what i counted also. Kyle didn't choke. Kyle was trying to figure out if he needed to put on a uniform and shame these WRs into catching the damn ball. Not that jimmy was on target either but some of those drops were just horrendous.

100%. As I watch him this year he's all about the pocket vs any run really. Not a dig or anything, but I'm used to mobile guys. Oddly enough Wilson is the opposite. He's deadly when he scrambles.

Let's face it, he made a dumb decision. What bothers me is that he won't own up to it. He did the same thing after the Super Bowl. THAT bothers me more than him making the bad decision. It just means he will do it again.
Passes 3 times and leaves too much time on the clock. Kyle says he's aggressive and is not playing for a tie.
But then he doesn't go for it on 4th and inches.
Dude, just own up.

It was only a dumb decision because it didn't work out.
If any of those throws are completed it's a non issue. Players have to execute plays just like they did in Atlanta. Nobody was bashing Kyle for the playcall that got Atlanta into FG range but somehow because Ryan takes a critical sack or the next play where his OL gets a holding penalty it's Kyle's fault?
And your point about not going for it on 4th and inches would make more sense if they punted. They went for a game winning FG. That's literally GOING FOR THE WIN.

If Kyle would've gone for it, and the team turned the ball over on downs, how many of those who are criticizing him would have supported him? If he settled for a tie, how many?
Easy to throw stuff in our safe place of anonymity.

Preach it!!!! 10-4 man. Seriously catch the fkn ball. He dialed up some great call. Not his fault the players couldn't catch the damn ball
