That's my issue with Jimmy. Plays feeding off plays doesn't really work when your QB is erattic. Jimmy from day one has been erratic.

Injury has exaggerated that, not caused it.

Agree completely, now you get an accurate QB with nice pocket presence who lets it fly not like jimmy and his conservative ways and this offense is on point every week. And Kyle doesn't have to scheme around the thought of erratic play

Brady, Montana... a great coach brings out the best. Instead Shanahan had made Garoppolo look worse.

He's a micromanager with an ego. As much of what makes him a good coach is also what holds him and the team back.

He fully looked awful today and his play calling was a joke

One of the most outlandish things I've seen posted on here. Bill Walsh didn't "make" Joe Montana, he recognized his talent and his ability and unleashed it but he was far from infallible. Walsh was also the guy who drafted Gio Carmazzi and recommended that he Colts pass on Peyton Manning and instead take Brian Griese in the 2nd round.

Sometimes lightning strikes and everything falls into place. Pete Carroll didn't "make" Russell Wilson and Andy Reid didn't "make" Pat Mahomes, you just got the right passer with the right coach and it worked out.
Unless you're getting Matt Ryan, you're stuck with Jimmy. There's no one else.

He can definitely throw a better deep ball.

If great coaches can just make franchise QBs then why would the Bill's worry about resigning their QBs (Brady, Montana)

Uhhhh cuz they re-sign them after they've developed them and been successful.

That's partially what I'm saying. It's two way. Is Brady the player he is without Belichick?

Do you have any proof that he wouldn't be? Both Brady and Montana had the drive and insane competitiveness to be great, they wound up with coaches who channeled that and pushed them but if head coaches could just make QB's, why couldn't Mike Holmgren make another Brett Favre, why couldn't Mike Shanahan make another John Elway? Why couldn't Andy Reid figure out a proper replacement for Donovan McNabb until years later when he wound up in KC and Mahomes dropped into his lap?

Lol Moon how was that crack party last night?

Wasn't a personal attack on you Moon. Just a joke my friend.

Moon is cool, bruh, he don't sweat small stuff like that... and maybe he's still at that party but took a quick break to post that comment

I know Moon is cool, but I got a 25% warning lol

Ah wow sorry to hear that...

I was literally laughing on my couch when I saw the wildcat. It's not even disappointment with me anymore. Just laughter. I knew this was an L as soon as I saw that.

A coach needs to keep it simple when the A team is on the benches or on IR. Sure do some trick stuff now and then but call basic bread and butter plays to keep moving the sticks forward.

If JG plays Thursday and plays well enough to win, It's going to be hard to not think there's a pattern...Shanny just pulls him when a game we're losing seems out of reach and preserves JG for the next game. I don't trust JG and 2020 anymore #CovidChangedTheGame

So what you're saying is Shanahan is an awful evaluator of QB talent?

So awful that he went with a QB that played well enough for the team to get to the SB last year?
The 49ers always play and coach scared against Seattle. The coaches game plan was super Vanilla. Where's the creator of last week's run game? What about the game plan we ran out against the vikings and Green Bay last year in the playoffs? Why does Kyle always overthink it in pivotal games? You only trust jimmy to throw short last week and it worked to keep the ball and sustain drives. This week, we play the QB who's having the best season of any player and you pull out a deeper drop and throwing the ball down the field into trouble. Jimmy hasn't shown he's capable of any throws down the field and our offensive line can't pass block on 7 step drops. Our coaches totally blew this game.
