Weird right? No one is saying Mullens is better than Jimmy...I'm just saying both are really that great. Our standard for what we want in a FQB is pretty damn low IMO.

Last year Jimmy threw 27 TDs, completed 69% of his passes & had a 102 QB rating. I think your standards might be a tad to high.

LOL if you truly think Jimmy makes those teams awesome, We can't have a convo on this topic.

Shoot if that's the case we should be able to swap 1sts with the Jags or Jets...you know because rookie QBs are usually busts and Jimmy is great and all.

Who cares about a "better" outcome if they don't win...cool we put like 14 more pts up lol. Jimmy isn't taking a banged up/bad roster anywhere. He's simply not that good.

Again we've all established that he's better than UDFA Nick Mullens. Is that seriously what we've become satisfied with at QB in SF? He's better than a bunch horrible QBs? We sound like Bengal fans for crying out loud lol...let's keep Andy Dalton around for 9 yrs because he "isn't the worst" QB league while we're at it let's pay him $28M per yr after 5 great games

No, but most of you and probably you were saying Mullens could or can do the same as Jimmy. And until they get a new QB in SF, that's all we got to go by.

Oh but you can say he doesn't and we have to accept that. NY don't be that guy you're better than this. I mean Jimmy went to the Super Bowl, there my evidence.

what about being top 8 in INT % what about being damn near the bottom in IAY and air yards to the sticks. You're cherry picking stats clearly.

Basically he was really good at throwing INTs and dumping off the ball to YAC monsters. If you're satisfied that cool. IF you want to pay him$28M per yr and lose a TON of players because we can't afford them cool. This roster is NOT gonna be better next yr....if you think Jimmy makes the team THAT much better than he can win games for SF in 2021 without a top end roster. cool I DO NOT.

FWIW

Alex Smith's last yr in KAN he completed 68% of his passes, threw 26 TDs and QB rating was 104

Andy Dalton had a season where he completed 66% of his passes, threw 25 TD and his QB rating was 106

I value QB play over OL play I also think a great QB can make an avg OL better. I'd like to see a healthy OL get a shot with a better QB.

ALSO I think they might be able to put a little more cash into the OL if they were able to get a rookie QB in there...think you might like that, no?

I would indeed but you know me, it's not about money spent but level of play to give ANY QB a very real shot to reach their own heights. Until the QB has high level protection, like Jimmy, we'll never know what could have been.

I sure as s**t never said that. I've said great he's better than a gypsy QB in Hoyer and two backup level QBs in Mullens/CJ. That's not what I'm looking for in a QB..not sure why fans are so content with that.

Also this game is not a reflection of anything. Down like 15 starters and guys get put on COVID IR 24hrs before a TNF game? come on now.

Right, and Jimmy has been injured with 14 players on IR, but any chance you got to smear him you do.

It's simple...his play overall has been avg and that's with a amazing roster and a top end HC. Why would it magically be better on a bad team? We went to the super bowl based on having an elite defense and run game...Jimmy managed it well. Didn't have to do a damn thing in the playoffs that's for sure.

I mean Trent dilfer went to the Super Bowl

Smear him relax lol. It's simply the truth. He's an avg talent with avg abilities overall. Guys like Young and Simms have even stated it. Crocker has said it

He can't stay healthy. He makes a ton of money and if you look at the data and film you can clearly see Kyle doesn't ask Jimmy to win him games. He doesn't ask Jimmy to make this hard tight window throws.

We don't have wear my rose colored glasses in order to be a fan. He is who he is.

49ers had an amazing talented defense when healthy. They have not outside of Kittle has an amazing talented offense. There is a reason we took WRs early the last few drafts & why people complain about OL pass blocking.

Now I know your blind hate real. So you're basically saying Beathard and Mullens could've took the team to the Super Bowl last season??

I forgot Garoppolo had Julio Jones, Rob Gronkowski, Ezekiel Elliot, Tyreek Hill, Antonio Brown and Mike Evans to throw to last season right. C'mon now.

Yes because that Mullen's to Cracaft connection should have netted us at least 20 pts lol. I mean if only Skule could block the Smith brothers lol.

You can only polish up a turd so much dude. Mullens is a UDFA for a reason...Do me a favor and count up the starters (can use just offense) from last night that were late day 3 picks or worse?

What better timing to run the ball then? Especially against such a bad run defense.
