You're such a f**king joke of a troll. Tomlin only lost his damn qb, he didn't lose his best offensive players, he didn't lose neither Watt or Dupree, they added Fitzpatrick and didn't have f**king 80 mil on IR. Do research before you start talking bs

How do you explain the miami game? The Cardinals game? Even the eagles game? Explain it to me. I'm not talking packers. I'm talking all other years. How about year 2? They only lost garapollo and went 4-12 to get bosa.

Oh when you have injuries and are forced to play a garbage ps player it's gonna get ugly in the secondary. Injuries and bad play, this season has nothing to do with kyle being bad coach like you swear he is. Lol year 2 we didn't have the talent especially the pass rush at the time to do anything when Jimmy got hurt and on top of that you really thought we were gonna win many games with either Mullens or Beathard at qb? Keep hating

20+ mil is the price you pay for a franchise QB.

And I rest my case, you're right, you don't smear Jimmy G every chance you get.

This is turning right into a Jimmy G thread. smfh. Move this to the Jimmy G. thread.

It was a Kyle sucks thread in here for a hot min because of whatever you want to call that football team he was given last night lol.

Stats show evidence, stats aren't fans. He doesn't push the ball downfield, I mean not even in the slightest. He throws the ball short of the 1st down marker more than any QB in football (over the past two seasons). He relies on his playmakers. Those are FACTS.

It's literally the definition of a game manager. Paying a QB almost $30M to do that is silly IMO. What's even more silly is assuming he will magically go from a game manager to some top end QB that will take a much worse roster in 2021 to the playoffs and beyond...If we keep him that's what will be asked of him. We ONE DB signed next yr. Trent is gone. Bosa coming off an ACL and Ford is M.I.A probably for good. Juice is gone. They HAVE to pay Warner top money. Richburg ever gonna be healthy?

Overall they need more talent in general without even talking about who's a FA. They can't fix that s**t if things stay staus quo at QB. IF you're not asking Jimmy to do anything but manage the game WHY not get a rookie to do the same easy s**t at a rookie pay check?

come on man.

Lol Shanahan's 1st year where we were in a dog fight with the Rams the team that made the SB the following year with f**king Hoyer. Then the rest of the season where this rebuilding team he got lost games by like 3 almost every game. You're acting like he took control of a SB winning team, I don't care who you are, belichick with all these injuries wouldn't have this team winning. Speaking of him look at his team now without Brady or talent he's struggling. You're such a hater bruh

Where is the team now? 4 years later. No qb, no offensive line, no cbs, no every down back. Draft misses and free agent misses. Is this a rebuild again? Are we looking at another 4 years of rebuild? That's 8 years of garbage? 1 superbowl loss. I can't understand how people are not angry with the state of the franchise. Shanahan was on the hot seat last year. He was lucky everything went perfect and it bought him a new contract. How many more years is this going to buy him?

lol we had all that when healthy. Injured players can't play. it's not rocket science.

Air yards belong to the receiver more so than the quarterback. A quarterback's job is to deliver the ball on time and on target to a receiver who has earned the target. A receiver's job is to run his assigned routes—routes tailored specifically to his unique skill set—and earn those targets. Because the depth of the route is completely in the hands of the receiver, and the longer the throw the lower the YAC and catch rate, it makes sense that depth of target—air yards—is an incredibly powerful way to understand receiver performance.

I know exactly what air yards refers too. Some people don't seem to understand what it means overall
We're signing Josh Johnson as "QB depth".

Don't feed the troll

Jimmy G thread. Stop already. Btw you're not smearing Jimmy G, I swear you're.

I'm being objective on what a player is. Just because you don't like doesn't mean it's not true.
Shanny needs to find away to go at least 8-8. Another losing season on the resume not gonna look good.
I've always felt that the YAC should be deducted from the QBs total yards. It's crazy to credit a QB with 70 yards on a pass that traveled 10 yards in the air. I know they have all kinds of stats to show the YAC, the distance the ball was thrown beyond the line of scrimmage and the distance in the air. I never felt it was right ot give the QB all those yards when the receiver is doing all the running. JG often has around 270 yards passing but sometimes half or more comes from YAC. It makes his passing numbers look better and his rating goes up but it isn't really giving a true picture of what's happening. It's not just JG. There are a lot of QBs that get a lot of those yards from YAC. Then you have a few that really air it out like Rogers, Wilson and Mahomes.

If he goes 8-8 with this practice squad roster he deserves coach of the year consideration.

nit picking and playing down his roll in the offense is not being objective. but continue to smear

Hey man If you can't look at the film and see all the yards left on the field because of trash QB play or refuse to acknowledge that theres $80M dollars on IR which is a big problem...that's on you.

Kyle is NOT the problem...that's a extremely lazy take.

Because most people are objective and see the bigger picture.

Why do air yards matter? Part of the scheme is hitting open guys with room to run. Doesn't matter how they get there. Getting the guy the ball should give the QB his credit for the entire play. Schemes are designed to gain yards in different situations based on the defense.

Thats like saying the WR should ONLY get credit for his YAC because the QB threw the ball the first X air yards of the play. The entire play counts.
