The choice of a qb lands on shanahan and no one else. He has had 4 years to get a qb that he wanted. He had garapollo. If you're arguing that garapollo sucks that's on kyle.
We are 4 years down the road and you're saying he needs to have a serviceable qb? That is such an excuse. It's 9nbkype to have already picked the qb he is going to base his team on.
You can make all the arguments you want but at the end of the day it's all about results. I'm not calling for his firing, but he should be on the hot seat of they don't produce within 2 years. How many more years are you willing to give shanahan? 3? 4? 6?
They've drafted ONE QB on day 3 and had Jimmy fall in their laps...it was suppose to be Kirk and NO ONE knows how he would have done with kyle here.
You're cherry picking anything to find a way to complain about.
This team went from complete trash to a SB in 3 yrs, now in a Covid football season with $80M worth of players on IR your b***hing about nonsense.
If you want to argue that Shanahan is a good coach, but hes made his mistakes, thats fine. I get it. But you cant tell me its been perfect. Far from it. and it needs to be pointed out. To put all of your eggs in the Kirk Cousins (Mr 8-8) basket, was such a huge mistake, and it needs to be called out. Its not that I do not want him to succeed, I have serious concerns, and I hope I am wrong. I personally give him two more years after this year. If we have two more losing seasons with Shanahan there are serious problems.
Plus, I blame Jed. He is so quick to pull the trigger. He hired Singletary immediately. He gave Kyle and Lynch contract extensions after a superbowl loss. Can you imagine Eddie D doing that?
