49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan Thread

f**king disgusting the hate Shanahan is getting now from some fans. It seems like there is a weird divide. Some biased Jimmy Garoppolo fans hate Shanahan and choose #10 over the Niners franchise. Reminds me of a certain politician

Shanahan is the best coach we've had since George Seifert. He was playing with a CFL roster last night for f**ks sake. His starting QB is always hurt and the QB play this year has been abysmal. The NFL forced him to play with a CFL squad even though Bourne tested negative multiple times now

True Niner fans are still out here. Kyle Shanahan should be the Niners coach for many years. We should have won the super bowl last year if the QB hit an open Emmanuel Sanders. What a remarkable turnaround and our roster is still stacked going into next year

People who hate on a mastermind like Kyle are frauds.

How many losing seasons will he be given to right the ship?

I like him too but he has to win.

lol yup I'm sure his plan was to have Jimmy thrown into his lap in 2017. I'm sure he also planned for him to get a torn ACL as well. The fact that he's been able to make him look like a more than capable QB regardless IS A GOOD THING.

The Kirk argument is lame. He could have gotten Kirk but passed on him lile he passed on Mahomes and Watson.

No if you did you're homework and listen to every reputable person around in Kyle's circle is was well know. Just because you don't want to believe it doesn't make it true.

Even before Mahomes became Mahomes (didn't play for a yr) it was talked about how it was Kirk. Even Lynch says it.

facts are a really b***h when trying to complain about something.
Pittsburgh Steelers WR Chase Claypool in some interview talked about a friend of his who is on the team here and there seemed to be some discontent, at least the way that that Claypool revealed it or relayed it on how you guys practice in pads on Thursdays and maybe that doesn't give you guys an opportunity to stay fresh. I just wondered if you have any response to that thought process?

"I mean, the third party from another team, I wouldn't really get much into, but yeah, I don't mind talking about that. Some people practice with pads on Wednesdays. Some people do on Thursdays. I believe guys are too sore on Wednesdays, not recovered from the game. I don't even keep the pads on for all Thursday. So, we keep them on for the first two periods of practice, a pass protection period and a run period. So, I feel pretty good about that. I think we do it as little as anyone in the NFL."

Did you guys see this?

Oh I don't know how about when he doesn't have $80M worth of talent on IR.

What's the confusion? Did you think they played full go in pads all week in practice?

People know that our team is good and that its simply injured, but nobody really wants to say that because it sounds like an excuse. Now it's gotta be made like it's the teams fault itself its injured. That's what the media and this thread is doing.

But the answer is really simple. Take Mahomes, Kelce, Watkins, Hill out and how many teams are they beating with HoF coach Andy Reid? And that's just four guys. This isnt rocket science.

What is the point of bringing up Kirk Cousins to defend Kyle?

I don't see the relevance at all.

Yep. It's plain as day.

He did have a plan (Cousins as free agent). That you don't like that plan doesn't negate it existing.
