If you put this season on Shanahan then you don't know what you are talking about. Period.

They could not continuously play Jerick mckinnon who runs slower than me.
They could not call conservatively.
They could not do a draw five yard behind LOS on 4th and 1 to said dead legged rb.
Roster is decimated no doubt. But Shanahan sucks and can't adjust his system. Inflexible. Stubborn. Childish
So who do you hire?
Some of y'all forget the crap we had before Shanahan.

Agreed, but 3 losing seasons out of 4 is pretty bad.

He could of made a better effort in having a real backup qb

Tomlin didn't lose every other star playing talent on his team last year in addition to Roethlisberger.

I'll be shocked if this team doesn't lose out. They simply do not have the horses.
Context is king, though. 2/4 seasons lost to key roster injuries. If he's judged on those then this franchise deserves the Tomsulas of the world to lead the team to endless 2-to-5 win seasons.
You have to admit he's going on the hot seat next year even with a new contract. If he makes it 4 out of 5 then he could see himself fired.

Steelers went 8-8 last year. Something the 49ers aren't going to sniff this year.
They also had the Browns and Bengals twice while our division is hands down the best.

A good backup QB is rare. It's hard enough for 32 teams to find decent *starting* QBs.

Like anything, it will depend on the circumstances. If he loses 75% of the top talent on his roster a month into the season again will that really be on him?
Fire Shanahan with no answer afterwards at your own risk. Just be ready to welcome a decade of 1-15 teams even with no injuries to starters for the foreseeable future.

Just compare the starting roster between this Saints game and the one last year. Now compare which how many of those players they purposely let go. Buckner/Sanders is it, and they were the two adequately replaced by Kinlaw/Aiyuk today - as planned. It's the dozen other spots missing their intended starters that is the difference.
Pssst.... no coach can overcome these personnel losses. NONE. It was a miracle that Shanny was able to scheme the wins against LA and NE, but one can only scheme so much to try and overcome lack of playmaker talent.
Just ask 3-5 Belichick.
The personnel that he has picked personally has failed miserably and it costed us talent in key areas.
This offense has looked like hot garbage even in Week 1 with a healthy Garappolo.

Nobody expected them to win this game. In fact, I want them to tank for selfish reasons. But I will also say that I do not want Kyle making personnel decisions anymore. But he probably still will, lets be honest with ourselves. This dude has a massive ego.
I gave him the benefit of the doubt for certain players, but time and time again, I just see it blow up in his face.
Y'all think I'm mad because we lost this game. But no. It's not even that anymore. I'm evaluating all of the players that they have picked. And I see guys like McKinnon out there missing out on blocking assignments. Makes me wonder why the heck we even gave him that contract.
Even with a top 5 pick, and picking high in the 2nd and 3rd round in the draft, I have around 50% trust that they will make the right decisions.

🤡
49ers are rolling with the worst roster in football right now.
Edge rushers straight off the street, fourth string center, backups to the backups to the backups at RB, injuries at safety and people are still losing their s**t.
The same people whining about the need to draft a QB are crying about the team losing games which brings them closer to being in a better position to accomplishing that. I just don't get it, even for the WZ we are reaching new levels of absurdity.
Seahawks still have the vast majority of their pieces but are down at RB and in the secondary and have started falling apart. Belichick hasn't been able to win with a depleted roster but hey let's all go out and get real mad that the practice squad isn't whooping ass.

No context is needed in this discussion. Don't make me put you on timeout.

The Saints are killing us with their NCB but we don´t use Juice more to keep them in base.

Please; enlighten me and defend those decisions.
He's getting out coached by f**king SALEH, who doesn't have Bosa Ford Buckner Sherman tartt etc etc
That's not a good head coach. Sorry. Tomlin belichick and Carroll do more with the same situation.
And they win the big one too.
Great OC; s**t HC.

It's his roster so yes if he continues to have injuries out of the injury prone players he consistently signs and drafts and counts on then it is on him.
And a decade of 1-15? This is the same stuff people said when Jed fired Harbaugh who was a perennial winner.
