That's not a good head coach. Sorry. Tomlin belichick and Carroll do more with the same situation.

And they win the big one too.

All 3 of those HC's have ALL lost the big one at some point though.

Also Belichick is in a similar situation as the 49ers right now. Anyone know what his record is?

Idk off the top of my head.

But I do know we stomped him out recently.

Idk tbh. I have nothing against Kirk. I would prefer us to gamble and draft a QB if Possible.

Same but then I don't get why people are complaining about losing meaningless games. This team isn't winning a SB this year. If you're going to suck, may as well suck all the way and get into the best possible draft position to get that QB.

This roster filled with practice squad guys isn't going to miraculously stumble into the playoffs, especially not in the NFC West. Losing now does more for the team in the long term.in being in the best position to get that franchise QB prospect. So I aint even mad right now.

Not the finest game of Kyle's career. After a great initial first scripted drive, bad game all around. Run isn't working, game falls apart.

Yeah I thought atleast once Kyle would use Gardner-Johnson's aggressiveness against him. Maybe a screen or a slant behind him. Instead? nothing.

I think he tried. McKinnon and mullens were the ones having a difficult time with it

Maybe I missed it. But of the plays I saw him blitz I didn't see much of an adjustment.

Not having a plan at QB and desperately going for Jimmy G then not having a backup plan is not a good look right now.

He had a plan. He wanted Kirk. Lynch talked him into giving Jimmy a chance.

Say what you want about Kirk, but the guy doesn't miss games.

Say what you want about Jimmy, but unlike Kirk he wins games.

Say what you want about Kirk, but at least he plays in games.

You'd think it would be this easy for people to get

The best coach of all time would give his left nut for our qb situation.

We have a f**king carousel of players every week.... the lack of continuity alone would ruin any team. That's not even considering the obvious skill gap between our starters and the product we put on the field now.

If you expected grp full of backups and backup backups to really have a chance against the saints I'm not sure what to tell you

I expect an offensive genius to be able to prevent the opposing defensive coordinator, who is Dennis effing Allen, from terrorizing me with #22 on several plays in a ROW,particularly with players he himself has selected at tackle and running back.

You don't see this in nfl terms of lack of adjustments, much less from offenses coached by elite coaches.
The people who are blaming Kyle deserve more Chip Kelly and Tomsula

Pretty much. But perhaps there is some untapped genius out there who can take a roster with over a dozen guys coming in off the street during the season, with a 5th string RB, backup QB, no healthy edge rushers and make them into a SB contender.

It's worth firing Shanahan and then hiring and firing a HC every single year for the next decade to try and find them just in the off chance they exist.

This. Kyle can only "scheme" so much. Players have to execute. When you have backups, and the backups backups playing what is Kyle supposed to do exactly? This year at the most important position we have had an Injured Jimmy G, Mullens (who after the Giants game people were crowning his ass) and Bethard at QB.

What's Kyle supposed to do? Not to mention no Kittle the rest of the year, Deebo being banged up and our RBs being injured this whole year.

Some are being way too dramatic but I doubt any real fan blames Kyle for how this season has gone thus far.

Kyle can't walk on the field and tell mullens to pull his head out of his ass before every play.

Almost as if we were down a QB (the guy responsible for recognizing the blitz) and a dozen RBs.

The saints dialed up a good defensive scheme to attack our weak link..... our backup qb/rb combo

The fact that you think our weak link is Shanahan is beyond hilarious. Dude has his flaws and makes mistakes like everyone..... but he's our single best asset within the organization.

I ain't defending him if he gets attacked by fans at this point. I'm so tired of it all.

You all who hate Shanahan for not winning with practice squad talent starting deserve 10 straight seasons of 0-16 without him

DESERVE IT.

maybe read the whole post instead of quoting one part of it. It goes beyond injuries and play calling. This team lost in the offseason as far as I am concerned.

I did read your whole s**tty post. There was nothing wrong with the personnel they planned on having on this roster. All the key pieces of it (sans Warner) are gone.

Just compare the starting roster between this Saints game and the one last year. Now compare which how many of those players they purposely let go. Buckner/Sanders is it, and they were the two adequately replaced by Kinlaw/Aiyuk today - as planned. It's the dozen other spots missing their intended starters that is the difference.

Pssst.... no coach can overcome these personnel losses. NONE. It was a miracle that Shanny was able to scheme the wins against LA and NE, but one can only scheme so much to try and overcome lack of playmaker talent.

Just ask 3-5 Belichick.

Belichick won the super bowl
Ouch.

Nothing wrong with the Defense Imo. They had a nice game overall.
