It is extremely complicated but a QB that prepares can operate the offense. My beef is that Kyle's in-game flow with the passing attack has not been very good to the point where the QB just doesn't appear to be on a flow. Even JG's games where he racks up the stats, many of his throws appear to require a high level of difficulty and/or patience resulting in very little room for error which leads to Jimmy not getting on a nice flow.

Complicated compared to what?

Yeah, complicated compared to what?

compared to Jimmy Raye

It's more complicated that Chip Kelly's offense we've established that I've stated I was incorrect with using the term "simple" with Kyle's offense. It's definitely not in terms of personnel packages and route patterns (like you stated).

For me it was more directed at what he's putting on the shoulders of the QB.

Also what terms make a offense complicated? Would we say his offense in ATL is the same as it is currently, what about DC? is he asking as much from Ryan as he is Jimmy and Co?

I don't have a answer for that...just from watching the games and being a fan, I don't feel like he's putting an awful lot on Jimmy's plate as a passer goes. He's not asking him to make this difficult throws overall...Maybe wrong, but just what I see.
Actual Headline: Shanahan shrinking in the spotlight.

More accurate headline: 49ers replacement players play saints tighter than Tom Brady and the bucs. 49ers fans still call for shanahans head.

Best part of the article: "there's no excuse for this poor offensive output.........but the starting QB, 1st and 2nd string RBs, starting reciever, and starting tight end are all hurt"

Greeny said something worth repeating this morning.... we often times confuse "excuses" with "reasons". All those injuries aren't excuses for our poor performance, they are the reasons.

Bingo! It's easy to play revisionist or captain hindsight here, but luck plays a huge factor in all of this. If Jimmy continued to ball out, we would not be having this conversation.

Unless Jimmy ended up as good or better than Mahomes, we would still hear it. Some still believe that drafting isn't that hard.

Yeah Kyle isn't perfect but I am still impressed with how this team fights so f**king hard every week even with injuries. The nfc is wiping their swear cause this is a down year for us.

The actual plays aren't complex. The formations and motion make it seem more complex than it is. The QB needs to call the formations so it's complicated from that standpoint. Still it's not rocket science. A good QB that puts in the study time should be able to understand it.

I agree, compared to rocket science, Kyle's offense is not complex. Good comparison, CatchMaster80.

Yeah but yesterday's game was a result of the Tampa game. The Saints weren't in the game in the first half until me gave them points. Everyone knew they would be flat after beating down Tampa. Still, we couldn't capitlize.

That's such a baloney concept...fall flat because they won the week before. At home no less.

Good rosters with good coaching staffs beat bad rosters with good coaching staffs. There is no "yeah but" here.

We played as good as we could have with the players available. That's pretty much the end of the story. If it wasn't evident on 3rd and 1 when mullens put it in the dirt it should have been on 4th and 1 when the guard-turned-center blocked the wrong direction.

Scheme is built.... each play doesn't exist in a vacuum. If the early plays in a scheme don't work, the later plays won't either.

One thing Kyle has never done (and what some posters here are hounding him for) is make mid-game one-play adjustments. Doesn't mean he isn't adjusting his scheme. It just looks painfully bad when nothing works, including the plays that obviously should work if executed correctly (which, we can't do)

Well you guys can enjoy your "moral victory". I will live in reality. As I quote the hated Bill Parcells " you are what your record says you are".

Not sure if you read what wrote. I clearly said we are a bad team lol. And I didn't claim moral victory.
