It goes both ways, this 49er team isn't what it once was either.

From a coaching standpoint, I think we're stronger than Seadderall at this point. (hopefully time will tell and support what I just said) They lost a couple of good defensive and offensive coaches. Player-wise it will take a while to catch up and then overtake them. But I think with a DC for a HC on the Seadderall side, they will continue to fall behind on the offensive side of the ball and we'll gain on them both offensively and defensively based on our records this year and hopefully next year we'll be able to go toe to toe with them.

Yeah, something like that. I just hope Kittle survives his first start in Seattle.

Man those are gut wrenching hits, just looking at them make my teeth hurt. Not as bad as the Joe Montana -Jim Burt hit (I still see flashes of that when we play NY Gnats) But almost as bad...

If I got hit like that I'd open up a Jamba Juice too. Time to reconsider life.

True we haven't seen him in 8 months, but last time we did, playing next to Trenton, he played well. Not so so but well. He didn't play as well on the L side though. Kyle needs to look at his work on R side. That was impressive. We got horrible production from our two OGs 6 days ago. Rated right at bottom of PFF...but we didn't need PFF to tell us that. They just stunk up the field and Tiller last yr, played well. As well as i like the picks that kyle and john have made, the "upgrades" they brot in, Zut, Fusco, Barnes....well, they were less than desirable. Loved Magnus, Darrell williams JR. and Laken we don't know about other than he busted out of Detroit. The experienced OLs they brot in? To date, have been really disappointing. Hope Laken doesn't fall into that category. We are due for a change in our luck. So far been bad with experienced OLs. Time for luck to change. And yes i am saying the beads for Laken to come thru.

Doc, here's my hope. I hope Kyle sees something in Killgore and Beadles and the other starting guard (I forget the name) and the reason I say this is because Kyle's turned around the careers of quite a few no name O Linemen and made them look good in this scheme. I think they are starting because somehow, he thinks he can make them better than what they looked like against the Panthers. Personally, I don't hold much hope for what I've just said, but I think that's the current thought in Kyle's mind right now - and that may be one reason Tiller isn't here.

More than a couple of zone run's I think Hyde just took the wrong track. Even that play where Beadel's gets blown up by either Lotulelie or the other all world DT, I'm thinking Hyde would have gotten 5+ yards if he saw and knew that Beadles would get overwhelmed and play off that with a cutback to the back side of the run. Looking at Killgore and Beadles, if the RB can just give them some help and help the O Linemen gain the leverage he needs to cut back I think even with Killgore and Beadles, this offensive line can be serviceable. Even without William's speed, I think Hylde can power through the backside of the run for significant gains if he just cut back and not keep thinking this is a power run team.

Just finished listening to Greg Cosell on KNBR this morning.

-He said Kyle is still excellent in play design and play calling
-Brian Hoyer did not play that bad, he was fine (which many of us have been saying)
-The defense has a chance to be really good down the road, but still questions if our corners are good enough

Sounds about right. Cosell said the same thing many have been saying here. He also mentioned that the Interior line needs serious work

Play design so good to score 3 points.

To be fair, we were one yard away from scoring a touchdown. And Goodwin dropped what should have been a touchdown pass.

Not that it matters, we were still going to lose anyway.

Yah true but 3 points at home with his hand picked QB, WRs and OW. That was simply terrible, he needs to do better even chip managed a couple of TDs.

well that was against the Rams but yeah.

Probably start panicking if Shanahan can't produce anything against the Rams next Thursday.

One game. This next game will probably be ugly too.

Talk to me when we go the whole season without putting up 24 points then I'll start to worry. Even Walsh went through all of 1979 not putting up anything more than 28 points.

IDK man I think the Rams might be more than a pushover. I had a feeling when they brought in a good coaching staff this offseason that they could be much better. Just one game against a Luck-less Colts team but I think they'll at least be better than last season.

To me, by the time we're done playing in Indianapolis, we should see something.

I'm just saying maybe we should give Shanahan some time. We live in a social media-driven age that is extremely impatient. If Walsh's 1979 season happens in 2017 I bet he gets fired right after.

Quickly firing and re-hiring with the Tomsula/Chip roller coaster didn't seem to work out too well. Maybe we should try some consistency. It works well for Pittsburgh.

Nobody should be fired for 3 years, Im just saying he needs to be better. the 3 points stuff is pathetic.

Especially with Wade Phillips.
