The 49ers won their first game with Harbaugh and through two games the team had scored 5 TDs.
But the yards!
the first win was won by Ginn's 2 return TDs

And an offensive TD. This team has no TDs of any kind.

They also didn't play the two best front 7s in the NFC.

Drops are killing us
It's been a brutal last ten quarters in games that have mattered for KS.... we need to encourage and offer assistance.... he will get this team in the endzone.

As I posted in the Hoyer thread...

Chip Kelly's offense was also much more simplistic and easy to learn as opposed to Shanahan's. The offense will get better as the weeks progress and all the players begin to grasp it a little better. We also won't be playing perennial top five defense's every week either.

Chip Kelly's offense was more about shock than anything. Its similar to college when you only get a week to prepare for a triple option offense. When you only get a short period of time to get accustomed to the speed and style of Kelly's offense, it can stymie you at first. Once NFL teams started to settle in the shock factor started to wear off.

Chip Kelly's offense continued to get worse the longer it stayed in the NFL. Kyle's offense has already proven to be self sustaining and a championship caliber offense. There is no question here in the long term which scheme between the two creates a more winnable platform or gives the whole team better stability.

Excellent post!

its sad how people fail to see the bigger picture
That Atlanta offense looks just as good without him. Some said they would falter without his genius play calling.

I love it.....people just acting like Kyle doesn't have an established track record that's spans a decade and have been accomplished with multiple teams and rosters. Nope, this is the "real" playcaller....a decade of results is all fake, the real stuff is the last TWO games with this "obviously" stacked offensive unit. How in the hell is he not averaging 425 yards and 30ppg

Seriously though, all the questioning of Kyle is hilarious. TWO games is way too small of a sample size to be making the proclamations some are. It's laughable.....

I agree with you.

One question though regarding the bold part. Is it not equally laughable to make the many positive proclamations concerning the play of the defense?
Keep building coach! You & the team will only get better as the season progresses! Patience as we build brick-by-brick

What is the concerning part about the defense?

They were historically bad last year, and this year, so far so good.

IMO, it is.....you can be happy with what you see but we still have no clue what the 2017 49ers are. Personally, I think the defense will be vastly improved....the run game will do what the shanny/Alex gibbs/kubiak has always been.....the passing game is gonna continue to struggle because QBs matter and I don't think Hoyer is consistent enough to establish a good attack. It's has nothing to do with offensive scheme.

You're taking the concerning part the wrong way. I am not saying we should be concerned with their play. I am saying considering the sample size is two regular season games, if it is laughable to make proclamations about the offense (which, I agree with), it stands to reason it is equally laughable to make proclamations about the defense.

In other words, it's too early to say the offense is bad (true). It's also too early to say the defense is good
