It all comes down to Lance. If he's as good as they are all hoping, then this team should be making playoff runs for years to come. How he plays is going to determine what the outlook for the next five years is. If he's good, real good then they are a regular SB contender yearly. If he's average then they are going to need to build up a suffocating defense and if he's worse, then they might be looking for new people to run things altogether.

We could have had Brady but apparently during his interview he offended shanahan by saying his play calling for the falcons sucked and to just let him take the wheel himself in the SB up that much. So we didn't get him.

Shanahan wants a drone to execute his plays not somebody who will call and audible their own plays.

Meh, it's an article that purported who said what. Not a direct evidence that it actually happened the way you say it did. Not saying it didn't, but unless the evidence is more credible, I'm not buying it.

You got the MVP and the best record and football…they didn't pass on Stafford, there's a timeline of all it. Stafford was always going to LA. That's where he wanted to play and DET and LA has a relationship in the FO.

no one was crying about not getting Brady in 2019. So much after that fact stuff that is annoying.

Yup. They have staked their playoff future on Trey. I for one am excited about the prospect as I see Trey as a special player. Future looks bright for the 49ers.

Shanahan put himself in position to acquire Lance with a long term outlook. Going to have to wait and see how good Lance actually is.
