It has, and it's complete b******t.

Yeah I can assure you Felger and Mazz are idiots and typically feed into garbage rumors and takes. Hell that article even includes a tweet which was BS.

Surprised Tomlin hasn't been fired…Hasn't won a SB in a decade.

With Jimmy they might get back to the Lombardi game.

I know Big Ben has been awful for a decade

In a way, i can see two strong minded people butting heads like that. it's natural in a way. It might be a reason shanny has worked with mediocre qb talent his whole career excpet Ryan.

But that's all speculation.

So....how did the interview actually go?

Hey everyone look -- it's an NY85 post defending shanahan to the DEATH. Just in case you haven't seen one before.

Now, Shanny is even better than Walsh cause Bill won with QB talent that was gifted to him out of the sky. How unfair! How could WAlsh get so lucky!!!!

It's not like he drafted a guy he didn't trade 50 picks for, in the third round, cause he spotted the subtle qualities that are necessary to develop into superlative qb play, then coached him up in a pass-first system which he invented, and developed over a decade in time, to become a top 5 hall of fame QB.

No, he just got lucky having a qb fall out of the sky to make everything wonderfull. Shanny is SO UNLUCKY!

for a guy that knows a lot about football, you post the dumbest things sometimes. Everyone is used to your central thesis that jimmy Garoppolo is Lucifer and the cause of all ruination and depravity in football. But the Walsh angle is new. Yea shanny is on track for the same career trajectory as bill walsh . Especially now that beelzebub will be playing for another team.

I could say the same s**t about YOU in the Jimmy thread so save me the crap.

oh yes that what I said Kyle is better than Walsh…you love misconstruing peoples posts like it wasn't there for everyone to read….for what? So you can try to disprove a post?

Man the s**t some of you make up for absolutely no reason is why this place is turning in a dumpster fire of dumbness.

yes I thought it was time to move off Jimmy. I thought Stafford would have been better. I think Kyle is a MUCH better HC then Jimmy is a QB. You don't and that's fine….move on, Jimmy is gonna be gone. Thoughts and prayers for you and the Jimmy stans, hopefully ya'll be able to recover.

time to talk about the future, instead of fighting about s**t that's all done.

Fine. Let's talk the future.

Who's our future backup qb? Who's got the best resume for the job?

Who's got trey's back when shanny barks up his a*****e for doing something dumb in a game?

Trey has already publicy expressed appreciation for his relationship with some team members (and I think it's sincere). it might be helpful to use common experience to help get him used to a different level of responsibility in professional football.

Who would be a good candidate for that job?

Truth be told he struggles to win the big game. He's absolutely horrific with a big lead in a big game. Almost guaranteed to lose. Not sure what to make of him.

Everyone is a choker until they're not.

As long as we regularly win playoff games he's doing ok

Sean payton hasn't won a SB or gone to one in over a decade, took Andy Reid 15 years to get back to a super bowl AND 20 years for him to win it. Mike Tolmin walked into a SB winning team got a quick SB win, went to a SB two years later (lost) and hasn't been back to the big game in 11 years.

People crying about our HC simply lack understanding of the landscape of the NFL and head coaches overall.

This guy Routinely loses the big game with big leads. Championship games and Super Bowls. He's actually horrific in those games. Especially with a lead.

So it was horrific to call plays where Aiyuk was wide open and didn't get the ball?

Mcvay can win the big game. But not Shanahan.

I'd like a similar playing style QB, people have spoke about Tyrod Taylor as a possible backup and I like that idea….been in the league a while and been coached by numerous HCs.

Wouldn't hate Teddy or chase Daniel (been in the league forever for a reason).

you?

What big games have Tomlin or Payton won in over a decade?

I wonder if the Rams winning it all using a hyper aggressive team building strategy will cause Lynch/Kyle to re-assess their strategy. The Emmanual Sanders trade was an aggressive midseason trade. I wouldn't mind moves like that if they feel the team is close at the midway point in the season.

Jimmy, obviously, is best suited back up trey and keep us competitive if trey gets hurt.

It's a question of $$.

And jimmy overlooking the numerous hatchet jobs he has been subject too by intemperate commentators who are relentelessly, mindlessly, desperately looking to avoid having coaching staff and FO take any responsibility for adverse season outcomes.
