Sure, but it's not like Shanahan isn't aware of this. He literally force fed Deebo the ball for MONTHS of games before the NFC CG, including the week before to seal the game.

Doesn't help when you have the best TE In the league blocking on every play.

Kittle had nearly 1,000 yards receiving. He was catching passes plenty but the way to remedy needing him to stay and block is to not have Compton starting.

That's because he tends to have monster games when utilised, and then disappears for a couple games or so. As for Compton starting, we've had 5 years to solve that Issue. We'll most likely have Glinch starting again next season. Fun times.

Jimmy, obviously, is best suited back up trey and keep us competitive if trey gets hurt.

It's a question of $$.

And jimmy overlooking the numerous hatchet jobs he has been subject too by intemperate commentators who are relentelessly, mindlessly, desperately looking to avoid having coaching staff and FO take any responsibility for adverse season outcomes.

Jimmy deserves to be a starter somewhere else…you can't keep him here as a backup. That's a slap in the face to him. Hey take a pay cut, you're not gonna be the starter and good luck in FA after being a backup for a yr. Nah dude completely disagree doing that

OH THAT IS RICH ...NY85 WORRIED ABOUT JIMMY TAKING A SLAP IN THE FACE.....OMG.....IM ABSOLUTELY SPEECHLESS....

Anyway do you I think he'll be a backup for long? I see the odds pretty good that Trey will either get smashed or wind up playing sub 500 football. Dot-dot. If not Jimmy gets to rehab his calf shoulder and thumb for a year before jumping back in. Might not be a bad gig...

oh look. a sit down route in front of zone. Do we do that?

All NFL offenses do that. Many routes use sight adjustments - run away from man, sit down versus zone.

Do we make calls like that? I dont remember seeing that a lot. Do we do simple stick movers like that? I cant remember too many. Plays designed with zero yac in mind. Just stick movers.

I would love to see us make a big blockbuster trade In the off-season. I just don't see It happening though. Lynch and Kyle seem to conservative to push this team over the edge and bring In a big name signing

Compared to our last GM era (baalke) lynch is pretty aggressive. Baalke refused to makes trades or sign FAs. Lynch loves trading around in the draft, seems like he's done it every year.

guys I really think TB12 is a possibility for us. He wants to be a niner. He's the ultimate competitor, in a month or two he's gonna want to play. We can get him. Wel have to beef up our OL big time but we can do that. We need to either go all in on 2022 with TB12 or build back resources in 2022 an go all in on 2023 with TL5 after he's gotten a year of starting experience.

and don't call a f**kin FB dive on 3rd an 2 in the NFCXG this time.

Only that's simply not true....Kittle had 70 pass blocking snaps this whole season. He ran plenty of routes and if you go watch the film from that last game was open more than enough for him to make a bigger impact. Our QB for whatever reason simply didn't pull the trigger.

We made that blockbuster trade last offseason. It was for 2022 starting QB Trey Lance.

Brady isn't coming to SF.

They are trading Jimmy G. Then they will sign/trade for a vet QB to be Lance's backup, someone like Dalton/Foles/Taylor who can run the offense and perhaps win some games if Lance is injured and unavailable.

And Brodie thinking his beautiful QB is gonna take a massive pay cut to be the backup That's rich.

Jimmy can start on a handful of teams and will want an extension not a pay cut, he's not staying here and why would he? I see Trey being a rookie QB that was drafted to play...he will have his ups and downs and will develop and improve as the season goes. I see Kyle putting Lance in a good position to help this team win games, he's not gonna ask his QB to throw the ball 40+ times a game (same as Jimmy) it will be a run and play great defense team. Lance will also give this team something it hasn't had in a while and that the ability to use all three levels of the field and play 11 on 11 football.

SF did not get to this situation with the intention of not trading Jimmy...they want their compensation.

I give Jimmy being the backup QB in SF in 2022 a 1% chance of happening. NOW who do you really think they bring in as a backup?

If that's true, then I stand corrected.

I was referring to an experienced veteran. Rams have made a few big moves since Mcvay became head coach and It resulted In them winning the super bowl.
He needs to learn how to win the big game. Especially with a lead. Like Mcvay can.

Yeah man he ran plenty of routes....thing is SF was 29th in passing attempts this yr. He had 94 targets in 14 games.
