Let's hope so. That's assuming he's been working on his 4th Q play calling to help prevent those late game meltdowns.

Uh, I think it's more dependent on the team staying healthy than whatever your problem with his play calling is.

Considering he would probably have among the most wins since 2018 IF we weren't decimated by crucial injuries every year. Context matters. Not all teams can be as lucky as the Rams with injuries

According to Jose when Kyle took over that horrid roster in '17 he should have been 9-7 at worst. Then the next year when he lost his QB he still should have been at least 9-7 cause you know teams who lose their starting QBs are often successful. According to Jose their should have not been a rebuild period. Trent Baalke/ Chip Kelly left us a loaded team!!!

everyone has injuries.. its good he is our coach.. i have more faith in him than i do lynch. but come one... everyone has injuries.... i think some people use injuries to much as a crutch or built in excuse for poor coaching and poor play from the people who are playing and coaching. you do get tired of hearing... well i hope he learned from his mistakes he made in the super bowl with the falcons.. well i hope he has learned from his mistakes vs kansas city in the super bowl. well i hope he has learned from his mistakes in the rams game... IF we ever get to a big game like a title game or a super bowl again,, maybe this time his coaching and decision making will be better. i believe if you are in those games. you should try to win instead of trying not to lose

it doesn't matter what play you call, it's up to the players to execute. Plays don't call for missed blocks and taking sacks when you shouldn't (flacons).. plays don't call for passes thrown to DL hands (KC)

it's football and the other team is trying to win just as bad..

he was horrible vs the rams.... blame the players.. blame jimmy.. but the delay of game penalty on 4th and 2 was on kyle and horrid.. i also recall when the game was tied... what did we do.. go away from the run and then have a delay of game.... stuff like that is on kyle and had nothing to do with the players or tartts dropped pick.. i am just saying. for the third time...... i hope he has learned if we ever get in those spots again.

He better learn - this team is ready to win another SB.

the film is there.. the rams lined up an avg of 8 in the box to take away the run. so we passed. the throws weren't made.

The Rams gameplan was to take away the run and it worked. Kyle can only do so much

Now ask yourself this. How many times did we face and succeed against an 8 man box in 2019?

i don't have the numbers in front of me. but it wasn't every play and when they did jimmy made the throws as he was a 3rd down conversion machine

jimmy 2019 >>> jimmy 2021

And i do get that having a better more diverse and mobile qb is a big piece of the puzzle........... if the o line holds up of course.. kyle needs better clock management in big games,. some of the stuff he did vs the rams were brutal.. letting time run off the clock. etc it is upsetting for us to lose a super bowl but when the coaches play a direct role in the loss... like the 2012 super bowl.. it makes it double brutal

clock management and time out management is a coaches thing no matter the player or what the other team does... there are things that a coach can control and those are the things kyle has failed in in two super bowls and the title game in my opinion

I don't disagree with that.

I would also say.

Run blocking 2019 >>> run blocking 2021

Run blocking 2019 >>> run blocking 2021
i mean, we took the league by storm by running more than the usual team. we were also running very well designed plays that the league wasn't prepared for. (made luke kuechly retire )

it also helped to face two playoff teams that weren't major run stoppers in Minn, GB given up 4.3 and 4.7 respectively for the season. 49ers 2021 avg per rush was 4.3, compared to 4.6 in 2019.

i feel they were even probably better in 2021, just injuries late in the season handicapped us, but didn't lose the last game for us

calling timeouts still wouldn't have won the game for us
