I called him shanaloser when he was hired. 6 years later I look like nostradamus

So ignore the winning he did in between then and now
Wonder if Sean Peyton would be interested...
Most coaches don't win when they have to play their backup QB for an extended period of time. This season is basically a wash for Kyle. It effectively doesn't count because he lost his QB in week 2.

Can't blame the playcalling when the players don't execute.

If he has a good game plan but can't get the players to execute then he's just an OC. Not matter how its sliced, shanny is responsible for this mess.
Kyle can't win without Jimmy!

*Jimmy plays like s**t and loses*

Fire Kyle!!!!!

Sure, if Nostradamus was famous for being wrong about his predictions. You called him a loser 6 years ago, and he proceeded to coach the team to 2 NFCCGs and a SB. All with a backup QB. Way to go genius.

The biggest problem that I see with Kyle's play calling is it's stale bread. He runs a handful of plays that do work but if you keep going to them over and over, they become very predictable. The Bronco were ready for us and almost seemed to know the plays before they were called. Kyle has zero counter punch, almost zero imagination. I'm sorry but I'm not seeing genius here. Stale bread I tell you, stale bread.

Or the talent is lacking.

A bit of both right now. QB and OL are really weak in the passing game. Wont win too many games if thats the case.

I'm sorry but that makes absolutely zero sense. How does that make him just "an OC"? Is he supposed to go in there every single play and tell his QB "Hey don't throw a pick here ok?" You might have a point if we just played undisciplined with lots of penalties, but that is not the case. The players did not execute and got outplayed, period. Nothing a head coach can do about that in the moment, nor can a coach make up for a QB that is clearly limited and mistake prone.

Sad but true

Offenses and defenses are too different to make this comparison, IMO.

Defense is about harnessing talent and pointing it in the right direction. Goal of a defense is to create chao and disruption, and to be opportunistic.

Offenses are about rhythm, timing, precision. It's an orchestra. And it needs a top end conductor (QB) to truly bring all the instruments into harmony consistently enough to win year in and year out. Sometimes a team can get by with the community theater orchestra because their defense is so good, but it's rare.

Long winded excuse. Shanahan is a crap head coach and nothing more than a schemer who doesn't even adapt that scheme to maximize talent.

The only adaptations he does make are ones that get his starting QB killed (and his career in the process).

Remember when he called a shotgun delay with jimmy g after he snapped Lance's ankle? Pepperidge Farms remembers.

Lost superbowl and nfc championship. Blows 10 point 4th quarter leads. Loser.
