What about Sean McVays record as head coach since he's always being compared with Kyle

Head coach responsibility Is to find himself a QB though, Isn't it? Six years as coach and we still don't have an answer at QB

Which is why Shanny's futire is tied to Lance. He needs Lance to ball out to at least Top 10 QB status by the end of the 2023 season.

Shanahan threw away one year of Trey's development. With only a handful of games in three years and after a serious injury, are you actually expecting Trey to play like a Top-10 QB next season?

This isn't a statement about what will happen. It's a statement about what Shanahan needs to happen.

He also had a starting, caliber quarterback, not a back up.

I think he'll be anywhere between 14 and 20. Which would be considered bad considering how much we Invested on him. Probably good enough to help keep us competitive though, assuming we still have a great defense

And that's with two HoF QBs every one of those seasons.

I'd take Payton in a heartbeat. Got slack for saying that previously. Shanahan was run outta Atlanta because he couldn't get it done, with Matt Ryan and a monster rushing game. They had a fire Shanahan Petition.

He came here and brought great personnel, Mike McDaniels and Robert Saleh. I'm beginning to think McDaniel was the genius on offense, Not Kyle. He ruins everything he touches. The Kyle Touch. Yikes.

And exactly whose responsible for having a back up quality QB?
Sean Payton hasn't won s**t without Drew Brees. No thanks. No knock on him, but we shouldn't move off of Shanny until he proves he either A) Gets a certified franchise QB yet loses anyway, or B) Trey doesn't shape out to be a franchise QB and we have multiple losing seasons. Any talk of moving off of Shanny right now is WAY too premature.
