49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan Thread

He also had a starting, caliber quarterback, not a back up.

That's because he was smart enough to trade for one... Kyle stuck with a backup and then uses 3 first round picks on a RB.

I'm sorry but Kyle needs to go. No ability to adapt, change game plans, put his team in a position to win. His offensive plays are getting old…same old s**t.

I'd rather go after a real innovator like Sean Peyton.

What has Sean Peyton innovated?

What has Kyle innovated? Using every offensive position as a RB?

I'd take Payton in a heartbeat. Got slack for saying that previously. Shanahan was run outta Atlanta because he couldn't get it done, with Matt Ryan and a monster rushing game. They had a fire Shanahan Petition.

He came here and brought great personnel, Mike McDaniels and Robert Saleh. I'm beginning to think McDaniel was the genius on offense, Not Kyle. He ruins everything he touches. The Kyle Touch. Yikes.

Chapter one of your 49ers fan fiction?

How'd that work out for Atlanta?

Running a guy out of town is only half the solution.
We've been blaming Jimmy forever.. but it's time to look at the guy in charge. Yes Jimmy missed wide-open guys. He always had and always will. Why hasn't he been coached to go through his progressions properly? It's starts with the leadership. Open your eyes people.

Shanahan threw away one year of Trey's development. With only a handful of games in three years and after a serious injury, are you actually expecting Trey to play like a Top-10 QB next season?

I think he'll be anywhere between 14 and 20. Which would be considered bad considering how much we Invested on him. Probably good enough to help keep us competitive though, assuming we still have a great defense

To me, that was Kyle's biggest mistake. Tray should have started last year. Rather than continuing with a career back up quarterback at the helm. But water under the bridge. We are rolling with a back up quarterback again this year, and don't have that first round pick to look forward to. Let's hope Trey heals up well, and can be that guy next year.

It was weird before the game how some were saying Kyle holds Jimmy back, and those same people claimed that Kyle's play calling wasn't an issue with Trey…. and now it's back to Kyle's fault because Jimmy played poorly.

I have remained consistent that it's not fair to Jimmy or Trey to claim one or the other would perform better. I said that last year when people said starting Trey would be a wasted season, and I say that now to those who think Trey wouldn't have lost this game.

There's certainly some issues with Kyle's play calling, in terms continually feeding the same players the ball because he "trusts" them but he wears them out. I mean, Wilson played way too much in my opinion and right after Deebo looked to be hurt… the next series he runs Deebo up the middle.

And for anyone blaming the defense or oline for this game. You're incredibly biased. Idc what anyone says.

I'd be ok with that. He would be missed but the offenelse would be explosive.

Even if they did, knowing our luck he'd tear both ACL's on his first QB power run.
Offense hasn't looked good at all so far this season with a stacked roster I'm so disappointed. Hopefully kyle can right the ship because it's just not clicking right now there is no rhythm at all to his play calls.

I'd do it. We have dline depth that obviously won't be quite as good, but still solid, whereas Lamar would be a massive
upgrade to the offense
