I'm fine with two years of rebuild to get rid of him.
People hold tomsula and kelly as a reason to keep a less s**tty head coach. Poor premise and a loser mentality that we could only do worse instead of better.

Amen. There are college coaches that are better. He and his smoke and mirrors offense have been figured out.
Who? Not being confrontational, just wondering who would you replace him with? If you say Ryan's, then who would replace the OC role.
Anyone of these guys?

Lol yep I'm done
Sounds good. Kyle isn't a great coach. I'm convinced. He is replaceable. Saying the 49ers can't win without him is nonsense. Blind loyalty doesn't make you anything but a cult member.
No he's not. There's more Tomsula's and Kelly's out there, and we would probably be looking for another HC in 2-3 seasons.
I, like most of you was excited to have him but the shine has worn off. You can only polish a turd for so long before it's just a wet, hot mess.
He hasn't made Jimmy better in 5 years+, his development and management of Trey is suspect and the best part of this team is not his offense, it's the defense.
I refuse to believe it is him or the dark ages for this team. There are plenty very smart college minds and of not a young smart college mind, I think Payton is a better offensive mind than Kyle.

Welp...
I'm not going to make any excuses for him.
And I will leave it at that

Hey, not trying to troll but if we had an average defense these last 5 years with shanny? Would the majority of us niners fan still look at him at a great coach.. our offenses have looking very predictable and struggles to adjust when defenses do. Notice how a lot of our games our first drive or 2 are usually solid and then we go stagnant for alot do the game especially against better defenses, 2 min offense is garbage and our offense especially to close out a game these last few years have been horrible and don't have any confidence in them, like we pray for a miracle.
I feel like our run game on like 3rd and short is probably one of the worst in the league, idk if there's any way we can look something like that up. like our offense is just not good overall against teams when it matters and weak defenses and it's not like we don't have all pros at LT, TE, WR.. it's embarrassing
I know qb is the most important position and we haven't had a great qb during that span but I feel if our defense was top 15-20 instead of 3-5.. we'd all look at shanny much differently.. I don't think he should be fired but I don't think he's as much of an offensive guru as we think he is
I know this sounds like a typical webzone meltdown after a tough loss but I'm trying to feel people out and see if these are really concerns for Kyle or just have an average qb at best? I don't think Kyle should be fired and I think our team will have a couple more tough losses but expect a 10-7 11-6 type season and getting into playoffs but unfortunately seems like same outcome of facing a tough defense or can't score with a high scoring offense and above average defense. I feel reallly sorry for the defense honestly
Like just curious, say hypothetically end of year goes by and offense struggles all year and defense is lights out still and we finish 9-8 or 10-7 with an ugly playoff loss. How much of a downgrade would it be if they decide to promote Ryan's to HC and hire an actual OC? I just don't see us being much worse offensively and defensively we should be the same

Do we have an actual offensive coordinator or is that Kyle?

You're 100% correct.
The shanahan jock licking comes from PTSD of kelly and tomsula and negates all of these facts.
All you need to know is that the only time this HC has had anything other than a losing season, it'd been with a top 3 defense and his offense still was what held them back.
He's not good.

Why deal with hypotheticals when in 2017 and 2018 the defense wasnt that great ? I remember the failed cover-3, Armstead being a LEO, Tartt at FS, etc. Pre-Bosa era the defense wasnt that great.
There is a reason Shanny's record is horrible when trailing after halftime. Most of his wins are because of our defense. Now, I'll give him credit for our best offense he put together in 2019, but it benefitted from the "new" factor. Teams didnt have that much film on Jimmy. Hell, Goff with McVey started out blazing hot too and that offense looked like a juggernaut at one point. You still saw Kyle put clamps on the passing game anytime he could as to not turn the ball over.

Shanahan is so full of himself he probably enjoys the smell of his own farts.
Kyle Shanahan said his offense was really good in the first half when it scored seven points. Good to see he's his toughest critic.

I find a lot of this negativity as short sighted. We are watching what happens when a whole training camp is set up for an offense we can no longer run combined with Jimmy clearly not being good enough ti just drop in with no TC and off-season planning.
If there is a complaint to be made, the offense must have been too exotic for lance skill set, would have been nice to have more standardize stuff.
We have seen this before in the NFL, and it is the reason teams try to get QBs with similar traits. We should have a back up that can at least try and run the same stuff as Trey.

The offense was crap the whole game. If not for that 1 nice.run by Wilson, it did NADA. and they probably dont score that TD at all. Even a broken clock is right twice a day
