Nah, the QB needs to be at least efficient and play mistake free if not a probowler.. Jimmy has been less than effective that's why he went from average starter level to backup QB level and pay cut, limitations..

LAST CHANCE JIMMY, MAKE IT WORTH WHILE..

And ALL those sports media idiots who wanted Jimmy over Trey this season needs to eat their own words, until Jimmy can prove he's the better option week in week out and win the SB this season, aka play at a probowl level and elevate the offense at the QB position or at least play mistake free, he's DONE, not just with the 9ers but probably in the NFL as a starting QB.

Jimmy like Krap (both none probowlers, both choked in SBs) has always been 1 level below Alex Smith, a probowler, until he elevate his game at least a bit more and play mistake free, it's going to be a long and disappointing season once again sadly. Obviously if you can get QB play better or equal to Alex Smith and with that championship defense, you're probably winning a SB this season.. that's THE DIFFERENCE AND LIMITATIONS at the starting QB position.

I love the excuses made for Kyle in here. Fact. He does not have a winning record. Fact, his offensive scheme is out dated and predictable. Fact he will never change. Last year we got lucky late. That is not likely to happen again this year. We need new blood, new offense and a winning attitude. Keep making excuses for this guy and get more of the same.

What has he done in a decade? He had one of the best QBs of our generation too.

Like the QB seeing a wide open Deebo on a wheel route or under throwing a open Deebo on the side line for what could have been a TD? Yeah In that case you do need everything perfect.

Yeah I'm not praising Kyle by any means since he has his flaws for sure, but what we've seen in the 4 years Jimmy has been here is: guys are wide open and jimmy simply misses them.

It's like fans weren't around for us spending 3 first rounders on Lance. We did that for a reason. Jimmy ain't it.

Folks talked all off season about a very inexperienced QB needing to make the layups. An 8 year vet was missing them left and right last night.

Exactly! Jimmy has his moments which is awesome but the inconsistencies are maddening at this point. I expect him to play better than that going forward.

Yup Kyle has his warts too, but toss Kyle a good QB and this offense is scoring a ton of points. Hopefully that's Lance down the road. Fans need to accept and support that because that's the route they're going. Or they can just scream fire Kyle and think we can magically find a better HC lol.

I hope so or this season will be lost. It would be ashame with how stout this defense is. But no matter how good a defense is, you cannot consistently win as a team if you cannot move the ball on offense and put points on the board.

This IS Jimmy's last chance, quite possibly as a NFL starter. You don't get that many opportunities to prove it in the NFL, he has already gotten too many. Regardless of how well he's liked in the locker room etc. Step up or you're done.

Who knows, if the playoffs are out of reach later, Jimmy could easily be benched to see what they got in Purdy for the future.. and NONE OF THAT has anything to do KS, the coaching staff and the FO.

Hitting so many red lights this morning. It's Kyles fault
With how bad and behind Jimmy G is without any preseason and TC with the team, they really need to run the ball more, WAY MORE going forward.

Use Mason more with Wilson until Mitchell is back, JUST POUND THE BALL ALL DAY EVERY DAY, get the ball out of Jimmy Fails hands, can't trust Jimmy to get it done anyways..

I'm sure we can find plenty of coaches who can also achieve a losing record.

A couple of things, both veteran QBs were making rookie mistakes last night…weird.

Jimmy looked like a guy who missed camp, and preseason…

Kyle seems to have abandoned his speed based outside zone run game…and no one fears out inside zone run game

I've been a fan, but I am slowly losing faith in Kyle.

was it Kyle or his old staff, this new group isn't cutting it.

all of the above being true, it clear from his personal and coaching staff choices Kyle is changing his tactics, bigger guards and bigger running backs, less outside zone…let's see how this comes together…if it doesn't…Kyle may be at he end of his rope.
