0-5 record
Crappy offense
Excessive penalties
Poor red zone offense
Poor 3rd down offense

And obviously the defense

Anything else ?

D is ranked 30th...

rankled 19th vs. the run. 32nd last year.. and that's without foster...

Foster isn't going to be an all-pro year one...expect plenty of mistakes. He also wasn't that amazing in his 11 snaps this season.

lol did you not see him chase down McCaffrey? almost had a pick on like the opening drive of the game.

A player can be all pro and still make a few mistakes. Foster's very little time on an NFL field and he was popping on that grass more than any other player and it wasn't even close.

jcs has a hard-on Bowman. I think that's why

I made it very clear, Shanahan has to be able to do better than Chip Kelly. Chip won 2 games and my target for Shanahan was 4 wins. Since we are looking at soon to be 0-6, it really doesn't look likely. But, he has to get 3 wins at least.

no, he doesn't. lol. to what, satisfy the fan base by having an extra win? a meaningless win that would only set our draft position back?
You know what's really sad??

Wanting this team to tank after 5 games....

you know what's really stupid?

giving a s**t about having more wins than Chip kelly in the middle of a pointless season where in those 5 games we lost all 5

It's clear you've never played a team sport in your life...i'm done here...

it's clear you don't have the logic to recognize how pointless it is to root for meaningless wins when we aren't going to the playoffs. as a fan, not a teammate.
So you root for close losses with signs of improvement? If you truely see improvement here then we will eventually win games. What then?

Bowman still needs a year to recover his explosiveness which is typical for Achilles injuries. Hyde is obviously hurting.

pretty much...this was never gonna be a .500 team no way no how.

IF we had slightly better QB play we'd be at least 3-2. people need to focus on individual player grow and see who's got a place on this team for the future. Gotta look past the wins and losses year 1 into a rebuild.

Some of the people complaining, just didn't want Shanny or just like to complain and are getting their "moment" to do it. sad

Bowman is done. Think he will retire after this season.
Hyde has talent but he needs to stop dancing and missing assignments.
Lynch doesn't have the work ethic to stand out on an average to below average team. His faults are hidden on a good team.
AA: it appears there's something missing. He may be good but we have a guy who is better at the same position.

True. We're not mathematically eliminated yet.

Funny that the side accusing people of being bad fans is the side rooting to lose. Don't want to mess up their mock drafts by wanting to win a few games.

Bow needed 3-4 hours of warmup before games in 2015...that was before the Achilles tear. I don't know if he's got much more left....it's really sad because he was honestly the best LB in football before Reid took him out.

The narrative changes weekly.

Lets go one point loss and slight increase in statistical rankings woooo!

Let's get 3 wins to show that we are that much better than Kelly's 2 win team! woooo!
Giants is our only chance for a W

Yep. Our 9ers still suck, which shouldn't surprise anyone.

So far however, they're incomparably more fun to watch this year than they were the previous two years.

The true pleasure in this year's crappy team IMO, and on offense in particular, is that when plays don't work you can usually pinpoint the individual player of marginal talent which caused the play not to work. You can say "Oh, that run play got blown up because Tomlinson isn't very good and missed his block", or because Hoyer isn't very good and missed an open read, or because Goodwin dropped the pass, etc., etc., etc.

Over the last two years on top of talent problems we've had misbegotten scheme and play calling problems. Just being a team for which the major problem is a lack of talent is a HUGE improvement, even if it doesn't show up in the W/L column.
