Funny thing is SF covers if Gould hits that extra point.

Yeah that s**t doesn't matter at all. Bills had a -9.5 spread this week. KC barely covered as well. Same with NY.

Herbert looks almost 100% compared to the last couple weeks. That pass D is top 10. Our RZ situation wasn't great some of that is play calling but more of it imo was player execution.

You keep claiming the chargers pass defense is top 10…. I believe you are using stats that paint a difference picture… one that says more about how weak they are against the run, not how great they are against the pass. They don't get thrown on as much as other teams, but the completion percentage is 65%, and they get TDs thrown on them often

Of all the teams that played the chargers this year, only the falcons and broncos scored less points than we did. Both lost.

I don't have a point other than countering yours. As soon as I blame Kyle the film will prove me wrong 🤣

If I have any issues with Kyle's play calling it's in the red zone. I would like to see more roll outs with an option down inside the 3 yard line. Even Jimmy can run it in from there if there's a hole. It' seems like they try to slam it up the middle too often and end up kicking a FG instead of getting a TD. I'd also like to see more passes into the end zone instead of short of the end zone. It's probably my imagination but it seems like we don't get as many TD passes in the end zone as other teams. We seem to rely more on the YAC to run the ball in.

I agree here. s**t needs to get cleaned up. They should have had 3 more TDs regardless of the play call though. Poor execution. SF had one of the highest RZ TD % in the league last yr, so it's weird

I think this sums up how I feel pretty nicely

I'm using football outsiders DVOA which has them 10th overall

Funny thing is SF covers if Gould hits that extra point.

Weird. The way some are acting is that the 49ers lost and the Chargers are as bad as the Texans

I'm getting the same feeling. Overall, it's nice that expectations are high imo.

Yeah we can always be better, but my god people are being dramatic…which is right on par I guess

This forum does a good job of invalidating peoples opinion, which leads to doubling down and re-emphasizing. We rarely discuss… we jump straight to arguing.

then, we end up in this position lol

funny thing is, the Kyle thread is the inverse of the Jimmy thread. Jimmy gets criticized after every game, with a few dude emphasizing that it's ok to be critical. Kyle gets an attaboy after every game, with a few dudes emphasizing it's a team game, and Kyle is beyond criticism.

Jimmy underthrows a receiver, "screw Jimmy". Kyle calls a naked boot straight to kalil Mack, "screw Jimmy for being a game manager" 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I thought of another issue that I may have with Kyle. Obviously I'm not in the locker room so I don't know what he says to the team before the game or during halftime. It seems that sometimes this team doesn't look fired up and ready to play. So many games stay close all game long when they should be putting teams away.

I look at Pete Carroll and I have to say that his teams always look ready to play. He's not an play callling guru but he gets his teams ready. He did that at USC and still does it in Seattle even when his talent isn't great.

We underperformed expectations and so people are going to react negatively. The way people feel after a game isn't based just on what happened in that particular game, but also on what it says about the team's chances going forward. This team has Super Bowl aspirations, but right now they look exactly like you'd expect a 5-4 team to look.

The Seahawks were down 21-3 to the Bucs late in the game yesterday.
The 49ers have the best point differential in the division (+35), the best division record (3-0), the best conference record in the division (4-2) and by far the best defense in the division.

And a fairly favorable schedule

but that's 60% of KS10 play design.. he got this from Daddy Mike when he had The Snake in Denver..

I dont know if you guys understand but that sort of stuff sets up other plays. If teams keep doing that you hand it off and have the back cut to that side for a huge gain.
