No, McVay lost to a crappy Seahawk team so he sucks again. He didn't have them prepared and it's his fault for the penalties and drops and turnovers.

Calling those 5 turnovers plays....WTF, Sean Walsh-Lombardi McVay?

oh. to the mod and others.. i have no time for anyone to try to humanize hoyer by telling me he is the 13tth best. proof that staley and his stats are for losers comments rings true. quik stats is not the true measure of a player. it may help you to try to prove ones point of view.
no one is telling you he's 13th best. i guess you will bring this up on Monday how all you hear is Hoyer being the 13th best QB lol

Someone posted the following:
Brian Hoyer is currently ranked 13th in passing

He is not ranked 13th in passing, unless you think interceptions, completion percentage and TDs are not part of "passing".
all it takes is a quick look and that person meant yards, CC said 13th best. no one said he is 13th best

The person meant to pass off the yards ranking as overall passing ranking.
I believe passer rating is a much better measure for a passer than passing yards alone but you and Kohole find that idea laughable.
one stat like you said is not the whole story, but here you are trying to pass off one stat

In CC defense wins are the only stat that matters lol

Call me a jerk, but since we are in a true rebuild we are better off not winning many games so we can keep adding draft talent. If QB inst addressed next (i personally don't mind if its a rookie) then we have to wonder about the new staff.
FA takes place almost or more than a month before the draft. We will know by mid march if we sign cousins or go QB with our first pick

I know. Will be interesting for sure!

Til

We should not be watching the games looking for wins.
I posted early that if we had a team that was competitive, was improving , and was fun to watch, then i had no complaints. I wasn't thinking 0-16 nor 0-5 as of game 5, but 2 of the first 3 are fine by me. Sure i wish we were more fun to watch. But that all falls on young guys doing stupid things....motion, OPI, offsides, holding....you know the usual pain in the rears.

Those kinds of things basically make a good game to watch into an unwatchable game. And we hope that stops some point in time, also. What I don't like are coaches that make mistakes. Thinking of Saleh here, with his screwy coverage re: trailing WRs, etc, and then that fiasco last week of backing off 20 yds with 1:30 left on the clock. Whether on Saleh or Kyle, that is NOT the kind of football any of us wants to see. But as far as we are playing....hey it is fun to watch some of it, but wiht a placeholder Qb, (which i favor)...that has not made it a lot of fun. Now if hoyer had been playing better and we still lose, fine. But 2 games ago he was throwing it where they ain't ...and when he surprised the WRs and put it on the money, they were so surprised to see a catchable ball that they dropped it.

Love to see the OL play, but having just two OT starters....that isn't that much fun. No blame here because they tried in FA and for the most part, that tanked. In the draft we went D whch was fine. We did get a potential FR Qb but have to admit, altho i want him on the clipboard, would sure like to see what he has learned.

On D,can't wait to get Reuben back and then watch the D take off...Buck + Reuben sounds like music to me. Can't wait to see it. I think he makes Solly , Mitchell, Elvis , even AA all better.
Maybe it is a master plan of Kyle's to see which players would be easiest to replace by their attitudes and what he sees in the locker room as the losses pile up.

i think at the very least. if hoyer continues to stink it up and kyle sticks with him, he does run the risk of locker room issues. i almost think bowman is near that level with his poor play and the way he has been running his mouth. interesting to watch that situation if the team continues to lose. i think players say one thing but they want to win. they are not into moral wins like some fans are

Do you think shanny will bench bowman to prove a point?

We are. A team being better/worse isn't defined by the records after Week 5. And even then, you can have a worse record and still be a better team. Were the 2006 Chargers better than the 2013 Seahawks? Were the 2016 Dallas Cowboys better than the 2006 Indianapolis Colts or 2014 New England Patriots?

That said, it doesn't matter that we're better than last year. Right now, that's like saying a dump I took today was better than the dump I took yesterday.

They want to win...starting the vet like Hoyer most likely gives them a better chance. It would take Beathard being night and day better during practice to make players create locker room issues.

There's losing the way we were losing last year and there's losing how we've been losing this year. I'm sure the players can see the improvement from the scheme/coaching end. They have to do their part on the field. Can't get pissed at the coaches when you're the one missing tackles, making penalties, missing throws or not making catches...etc

i think bowmans bad play will take that decision out of the coaches hands. bow is a shell of himself. we have no one better currently on our team. if the team is going to blow stuff up,. then do something with bowman. though that contract is out there. and eli. then sign two scrubs. we are headed for one or two wins anyway and since alot are ok with that. what the hell. i think bowman is also starting to create friction with his mouth. coach has to nip that in the bud and if cutting him loose is what you do. do it
Oh snap, cciowa, we signed Leon Hall

then if your theory is true. you get rid of the players making the mistakes. i still say the coaches need to teach better but for the sake of it. i agree with you, then dump the ones making the mistakes. only question is . do you do it now and bring in other players like they did with hall today or wait until after the disaster of a season is over and then rehaul big time
