Kyle just needs to be a 49er lifer HC. Eventually he will get a few super bowls. Possibly this year. I don't see us replacing him with anyone better. He is frustrating to watch sometimes but he has us competing every year. Nothing worse than having losing seasons every year.

The problem is fans want a Super Bowl every year. The NFL doesn't work like that. As long as you don't get complacent and have a Franchise QB, you can compete almost every year. The question is will Shannahan find a Franchise QB? Hopefully we get lucky and Lance pans out or we luck into drafting the next Tom Brady.

How many coaches have won multiple SBs? I think the only current one is Belichick. Most of the multiple winners were before the salary cap era.

How many coaches have won multiple SBs? I think the only current one is Belichick. Most of the multiple winners were before the salary cap era.
My biggest issue with the cap is how it handicaps teams for being good at evaluating and drafting talent. I agree that teams shouldn't be able to buy championships, but if they're good at drafting, it shouldn't work against them. Cap should only pertain to free agents, so teams like the Rams would have to learn how to participate in the draft.
