Exactly. Even the original game plan last week going in was sound. But once it was clear what was going on, we've got the ability to pivot away from that for a bit and come back to it; even dictate. No need to pound your head against a brick wall anymore and make it was harder than it needs to be.

Like when we came out passing the ball but had to punt because we could not move the chains on the 1st two drives last night?

But of course we stuck with the passing game even though it wasn't working and it ended up making all the difference later in the game. Sounds exactly like the run game last week.

And that's with a QB who is now the backup to Trey on a incentive-laden contract playing for his NFL career futures, who is 65/100 average and 72 at best but rarely, he hit a once in a blue moon 85 last night (understandably now that CMC is fully acclimated to the offense and game plan) vs a injured and depleted AZ team I give him props for that, but imagine if KS is with a 75 or 85+ probowl QB year in year out..

where i disagree with that is by the middle of the 2nd Q the chargers had 3 healthy DL so i think the plan was to tire them out

Always right to take advantage and give what the D gives you as the offensive play caller, Jimmy G did very well (4 tds and no int only 2 time in his NFL career) now that CMC is fully acclimated to the offense with 29 passing attempts, only 4 more over 25 attempts and make the best out of facing a depleted AZ team.

Jimmy stated after the game that they adjusted the run/pass directly to what the defense's strategy was.

AZ's defense overplayed the run the 1st half,....so we passed the hell outta the ball.

The 2nd half they began to respect the pass so we ran the ball more.

Again,...Jimmy's words,....not mines. I know that there is a certain tyrant here saying "pass pass pass" regardless of the defense that is being played,...but that's not what happened last night.

That's exactly what we complained didn't happen last week. SD too was playing the run and we kept doing it. That is literally all we are saying we wanted to see.

we tried running that earlier on the opposite side and it didnt work (on a 3rd and 3 i believe) and had to punt. It was a good playball then i thought it didnt work cause JJ got some early penetration. Glad we went back to the Deebo end around
