It didn't? They got 3 points and made dallas go into half with 2 unused TOs.

It was a genius decision, and i said it before it ended in points.
You make THEM use THEIR TO. Or give them the ball with no TD opportunity.

I wouldn't say it was a genius decision. Just a decision to hedge risk. Definitely not a decision that would be popular with fans, IMO.
Worst-case scenario, we run the clock, hold the ball, and neither Dallas or us score.
Best-case scenario, we run the clock, hold the ball, get into field goal range and kick a field goal at the end of the half.

Sure, we could've been more aggressive in pushing the ball down field with 1:15 left and 2 timeouts. Best case scenario is we make some good gains, move the ball, possess it, and then score a TD right before the half. Worst case scenarios is we turn the ball over or punt, and then Dallas has an opportunity to score a TD themselves.

Gotta be doing something right.

Possibly Kyle's worst called game since he's been here

lol

Honestly it wasn't good. But these are the type of games that you need to win ugly. Cowboys struggled too. This was just an old school defensive game and Kyle came out on top when it mattered.

That's my coach! f**k the trolls!

How was it not good? I guess you could say he was a bit conservative, but it seems like he understood the type of game we were in and the type of defense we were going against.

First half was pretty bad, got cute too many times and that clock management at the end was very confusing.

But ya, this was a physical, defensive game and he out coached the cowboys in the 2nd half, especially 4th.

Love Kyle, but he wasn't without blame this game. In the end we won and he showed great adjustments in the 4ty and showed why he's a top coach in this League

How can you be confused by the clock management? He literally does this every...single...game.

He always kills time to not give the opposition a reply, he always then takes a couple of medium/deep shots to get into FG range at the minimum. After that it's situation dependent, but it's a very consistent pattern.

I understand some not liking it, but the last thing it should be is confusing.

The logic is sound, but the problem some have with it is that there was enough time to possibly get a TD if you managed the clock.

And I can understand some not liking it from that pov, but still not confusing.

At this point I haven't really come to expect him to do anything else.

Agreed he is consistently an idiot at clock management.

That drive was so hesitant with two up the gut runs then letting purdy throw. It screamed hesitation to let him sling it or take a knee. Very tweener move.

Loved the random burned 4th quarter 7:30 time left burned time out for no reason also.

Guy should let somebody else do the timeouts or let the QB call them because he has no clue.
We got the best coach in the NFL and I'm sick of not saying it

I would pay money to watch your manage the game under extreme stress with highly complex situations bearing down on you…

And yet we're consistently one of the highest scoring teams when it comes to right before the half.

*shrugs*

But whatever, I'll enjoy the win, you do you.

Meh. Zero TDs passing today. Not much opened up over the top. Coverage-wise and pass rush-wise, he's out there seeing the game in ways that we simply cant.

If we're comparing the last couple minutes of the half with the other 58 minutes of the game,....it was a great decision to play for 3 and get it.

That drive at the end of the second half was clear as day what they were doing. Run the clock down and then try to score a field goal at the end of the half. That's not a clock management issue, but I could see why people would be upset and call it conservative.

I forgot what happened at 7:30 in the fourth quarter though. That sounds like more of a case that they didn't like what they saw pre-snap, than a clock management snafu.
