Damm Quinn sure knows how to give Shanny issues. Tough win b/c the o line got there asses whooped in the trenches. Some shaky 2nd down play calls and that clock management b4 the half is still suspect. Good Win

Yeah, when you watch the plays where run plays get stuffed... you just see guys losing their blocks to Dallas defenders.
I'm not surprised if the second half adjustment was simply "Play better, guys."

They ran the ball much better in the second half.
I didn´t like that many empty backfields on 3rd & short and his clock management at the end of the first half was poor but he kept running until that defense got tired and I give him credit for that.

I wanna see a more complex play-calling next week.

We actually converted on a number of 3rd and shorts with an empty backfield. I believe CMC caught two of them for first downs.
The clock management at the end of the half was intentional, to guarantee that Dallas doesn't have an opportunity to possess and we score.

We had complex playcalling. When it doesn't work, people complain that we're trying to get "too cute." Hindsight is 20/20.

I only listen to people that are coaches, or have been coaches, every other take is just hyperbole - including my own ha ha

Definitely this
On the day that we beat the Cowboys in the playoffs for the second straight year, we have people starting the trade Trey talk in the Kyle Shanahan thread. Classic Niner talk.

I'm grateful for our couch. Grateful to be in the NFCCG for the 3rd time in 4 years. Grateful that although we are the underdog, I think we have a good chance to beat the Eagles and anyone coming out of the AFC. I'm grateful that we won't face another defense as fast and athletic all over the field as Dallas's is. Hoping we can put together great performances in all three phases of the game next week, win, and repeat in the Super Bowl.

Hard to do complex playcaling when your OL is getting its ass beat. The Dallas defense was super revved up for the game and it showed. They came out like a heavyweight boxer throwing haymakers all over the place and it wasn't until the mid 3rd where you could see their legs starting to go.

You have to applaud the effort. One of their DTs jacked himself up running down McCaffrey.

How can you be confused by the clock management? He literally does this every...single...game.

He always kills time to not give the opposition a reply, he always then takes a couple of medium/deep shots to get into FG range at the minimum. After that it's situation dependent, but it's a very consistent pattern.

I understand some not liking it, but the last thing it should be is confusing.

Agreed he is consistently an idiot at clock management.

That drive was so hesitant with two up the gut runs then letting purdy throw. It screamed hesitation to let him sling it or take a knee. Very tweener move.

Loved the random burned 4th quarter 7:30 time left burned time out for no reason also.

Guy should let somebody else do the timeouts or let the QB call them because he has no clue.

I would pay money to watch your manage the game under extreme stress with highly complex situations bearing down on you…

dont forget the geniuses on the Webzone giving their thoughts(the ones that matter) too.

This. They absolutely outplayed our O line the first half. It worries me a bit going into next week, as we've all seen how that physical battle takes its toll on guys. Is that stat about our opponents losing the next week a record?

Shanny has a high level of confidence in BCB... how do I know this? the rope he completed to Kittle right before the 2' warning... that took Big Cock Brock confidence to call and execute... dude has ice in his veins

Yeah, according to David Lombardi, it's the first time it's ever happened that a team's opponents never won the following week they played us.

Hopefully we'll be fine next week. The Eagles got to coast against the Giants, but they've had a number of injuries while we're the healthier team.

I mean, it does take a lot of confidence for that, but regardless of whether it was complete or incomplete, the clock would've stopped anyway for the 2 minute warning. There was a certain degree of surprise too, because I don't think a lot of people expected pass in that situation. All in all though, very smart playcall that got an easy first down.

And we are going up against a Philly D that led the league in sacks by a good margin. They also get to play at home.
wanna see kyle let purdy throw more often early in the first half next game
